Bronze box with patinated surface and some cold painting, stamped Made in Austria on bottom. Measures 6 1/8" wide, 3 1/2" deep, and 2 1/8" high. Lined with wood. The sides are all hammered, and the top has a raised design depicting a camel at rest, and two figures praying. A matching pair of Shaker #3 rockers from the Mount Lebanon, NY community. 19th century. Each chair bears a '3' branded on the upper back slat, and one chair displays a Mt. Lebanon manufacturer's stamp on the third back slat. Excellent condition, retaining an old pecan colored finish and with woven beige and blue cloth tape seats. There is a minor split to one leg where it joins with the runner (but still structurally sound). Dimensions: 34" ht. x 19 3/8" width x 25" depth.
