This lovely French nailed head French Club chair could be the model of what all the people trying to copy French Club chairs would want to use. It features the transitional style where the cushion was velvet that was prevalent in previous French seating. A New England Queen Anne highboy, circa 1750, in cherry, being a marriage of a period base with a period top. The proportions and color of the two components mesh very nicely, though the secondary woods differ, white pine versus chestnut. Found in a New Hampshire home. Refinished and with replaced brasses, otherwise in fine condition, without further restoration. Dimensions: 77 3/8" height x 38 1/2" width x 19 1/4" depth.

A Renaissance Revival library table in walnut with wonderful carved and pierced acanthus leaf decoration to either end support. The medial stretcher supports three beautifully proportioned turned and carved balusters, and a gadrooned frieze reveals two real and two faux drawers with oak interior, again with acanthus decorated wooden pulls. At either end of the table is a pull-out leaf which adds extra length when needed. The top is finished in book matched walnut veneer...

This is an unusual set of Club chairs, They are from the 1930's , They have all their original leather. They sit quite firm, but are comfortable nonetheless. They are in solid condition with age appropriate nicks and minor scratches. They are almost identical except two of them have a steeper pitch to the backs. Ornate large Georgian style Chinese rococo gilt wood pier mirror with three beveled glass mirror panels, adorned with carved shells, floral garlands and ho ho birds. Age: late 19th/early 20th century. Size: 7 feet ht. x 5' feet 10.5 inches wide. Condition: some minor loss at edges of frame and to birds' wings. Some cloudiness to mirror.
