A Northern Plains native American pipe with a carved Catlinite bowl and original twisted reed stem. Circa 1870-80. Overall length: 30". The twisted stem has brass tack decoration at the bowl end and attaches to an elbow shaped red Catlinite pipe bowl. Excellent condition, except for a hole in the twisted reed stem.

This wonderful pharmacy prescription scale dating to the early 1900s is in very nice condition! The scale box is finely constructed of oak and the balance beam scale comes with 5 small brass weights. The weighing mechanism works like new, in fact, there is not much wear apparent indicating minimal use and loving care over the years.

The oak case measures 11.75"L x 5.5"W and has a rich warm patina with very minor staining to the top. Displays wonderfully!

American Revolutionary War era military style wooden canteen. 19th century. Oak hand carved staves held together by four horizontal hand forged iron bands and two vertical bands; two iron rings and hand forged nails. A keg form canteen with two holes in the top; and with two iron carrying rings for a sling. Condition is very good; the upper most iron band is loose. Dimensions: 8" high x 8.5" wide x 5" deep.

A rare late Victorian Page or Plato clock, fully hallmarked for London, England 1901. This mechanical marvel features celluloid leaves with handpainted numerals, the top dial for hours and the bottom for minutes. The mechanism flips each page over to tell the time, and it has a round case in sterling silver. Seen occasionally in brass and in lesser metals, silver is very rare and would have been extremely expensive in its day...

A C.M. Von Valkenburg Petrolia gold filled pocket watch circa 1900. This 2" across stem-wind pocket watch has a porcelain dial with a single sunk seconds dial and blued hands. It is printed with C.M. VON VALKENBURG PETROLIA (Ontario, Canada) on the face, and the 1-5/8" across works has nice damascening. The works are marked ADJUSTED 2 POSITIONS 17 JEWELS 3876866. We haven't identified the works however the regulator resembles that of Howard or Ball watches...

They are so unusual, that they rightfully belong in a museum dedicated to preserving the history and practice of the early drug store.

These wonderful tools of the trade measure 12 inches for the capsule counter and 11.75 inches for the pill counter...
