A beautiful Meiji period basin of light weight metal gilded with genuine gold leaf with each individual petal rising to form the fluted rim. Much worn from handling, the bowl measures 25 cm (10 inches) diameter and is 12 cm (5 inches) tall.
A rare found of Ming dynasty 15th century Interregnum period b/w bowl, decorated with very nice cobalt blue tone of "Three Friends Of Winter" pattern to exterior. The interior with floral scroll design to the center and four scroll branch to cavetto wall. Condition is near perfect except minor kiln chips with glazed to rim, but no any crack, no chip and no any restoration. Diameter: 14.7cm.
Description: A blue-glazed Jun bowl was decorated on the surface with charming purple splash.
In a foggy look, the bowl was endured through long time of burial and was survived in a very good condition.
By a steep wall rising from a small circular foot ring, the bowl was mold in an elegant oval shape.
Incursions was observed on the surface amid with crackles.
