The stand itself is a work of art, exquisitely carved with four cut through diapers, on each corner of which is a squat leg, a large floral dial carved through in the center...

This is an old Chinese carpentry tool. It was used the same as today's carpenter's "chalk line". The bowl would be filled with powdered charcoal and the string would be pulled through the bowl, and a straight line would be snapped. The string would be rewound by tuning the "crank handle". Older carpenters frequently made their own tool and the carving on this one is very well done, a dragons head floating in a wave pattern. Note the hand made string...very rare...

A deep and mournful sound emanates from this ancient Temple bell from Zennoji temple dated the 20th day, fourth month of 1686. One panel is inscribed Humbly presented, Shokakuzan Zenno Zen-Temple treasure, For the Nyodendoshi-Mujo Bosatsu Buddha. It is further inscribed Donated by Harada Shitaro of Saijo Village for the priest Jusanzoshu. We have been told by the previous owner this and another bell are from Zennoji Temple in Kanazawa prefecture...

Miao womans Zhaotong style robe from Guizhou province, Wumeng mountain region. The traditional arrow pattern of this garment was considered as a protection from the arrows of enemies. Combining cotton and wool homespun, these garments were used literally as blankets to protect from the cold while tending cattle. Not many survived and the condition reflects the use. Robe is close to 5 feet in width.

Great looking sterling square link bracelet designed by Pekka Piekainen for the Finnish manufacturer Auran Kultaseppa. The links all move and are hinged with smaller links inside. It has a simple hook closure which is invisible and makes the bracelet look continuous when on the wrist. Measuring 6 3/4" around in the inside, it is 7/8" wide and weighs 68 grams. Fine original condition and signed as shown. A rare and stunning bracelet.

A smashing sterling wrap bracelet with a gold wash and wire wrapped green quartz by Modernist Arthur King. King had a shop on Madison Avenue in New York City in the 1960's. His pieces are scarce and his collectors are fierce at auctions. This remarkable piece is a tiny sculpture measuring 2" wide top to bottom at the stone and 1" wide in the back. It is 7 1/2" around in the inside and weighs 81 grams. Fine original condition and signed as shown. Brilliant!

An awesome handmade sterling cuff with a huge amber chunk by Arizona Modernist H. Fred Skaggs. This is a massive, bold cuff with a side opening which makes a great look. This is a fine reddish brown piece of bronze censer. It is of bombe shaped standing on three short feet resting on a curved lotus stand. On the underside of the bronzer censer, it bears the Ming dynasty Xuande reign mark but from the Qing dynasty, circa. 18th century. The stand is included with the censer.
