An early sterling brooch by Mexican silversmith Matilde Poulat who signed her pieces "MATL" beginning in 1934 until her death in 1960. The motifs of this pin- doves and tiny bells- are ones she used often.The doves have coral eyes and the bells have turquoise dangles. This pin measures 2" long and 1 7/8" wide. It is in fine original condition and signed for MATL in two places on the reverse. This is a wonderful and inspired early MATL piece.

This is a heavy sterling charm bracelet with the zodiac symbol Libra charm by Margot De Taxco. The design and construction of the link bracelet is exceptional and it is not often that one can find that the actual original bracelet to the charm. An exquisite necklace, bracelet and earrings ensemble by noted silversmith Margot De Taxco. Great open scroll design, all hand hammered and oxidized in the inner portions. All of the pieces are in excellent condition. The earrings are screwback and measure 1 1/4" long. The bracelet is 1 5/8" wide in the front and tapers to 3/4" at the opening in the back. It is a cuff and measures 5 3/4" around in the inside with a 1 1/4" opening so 7" total...

Stunning 970 silver and moonstone necklace by Taxco silversmith Antonio Pineda. It is in fine original condition and measures approximately 15" around. It is curved to sculpt the neck so a bit hard to measure. It is 1/2" wide. The moonstones are clear blue and all original and in fine condition, no chips or cracks. Secure push-in clasp, intact safety chain. Signed for Antonio Pineda as shown in the photo. Extremely beautiful.

A rare and truly magnificent sterling and multi color agate and onyx belt by Carmen Beckmann. One of the few women Mexican silversmiths, her work is hard to find and always interesting and beautiful.Beckmann had a shop in San Miguel deAllende and was active in the 1960's and 1970's. This belt measures 31" end to end and is 1" wide. The stones are great, all different and colorful. There is a hook clasp. Stunningly beautiful, this rare vintage sterling silver and amethyst necklace was designed and signed circa 1943-48 by Taxco, Mexico silver Maestro Hector Aguilar. The necklace is 1 inch wide and measures 14 1/2 wearable inches long. 186 grams, 6.06oz. Each of the 8 rectangular amethyst stones are hand carved into half moon shapes and bezel set into sterling frames. Both stones and silver are in gorgeous original condition...

A beautiful mid-century modern sterling and azur-malachite necklace and matching clip earrings by Erika Hult de Corral. Erika trained as an artist in Paris and then moved to Taxco in the 60s. She apprenticed with Sigi Pineda and his influence is surely reflected in the spectacular design of these pieces. The necklace measures 19" long and is 1 1/8" wide at the front. An outstanding, huge sterling repousse bird pin by Matilde Poulat. This is an early piece with her embossed script MATL mark. This impressive bird with a turquoise eye measures 4" long and 2 1/4" wide at the plumage. In fine original condition, I believe it to be quite rare and certainly astounding. Matilde Poulat was an artist most famous for her folkloric style of silversmithing. She was part of the Mexican Silver Renaissance that brought back the silver industry after the Mexican Revolution. Properly hallmarked Matl along with her circular mark that is one of her earliest. This example has 18in. of wearable length and weighs 100 grams of thick silver.
