Porcelain decorated with flower spray on the center and four flower sprays on the cavetto, unglazed base. PERIOD : late Ming (1566-1643 AD) MEASUREMENTS: 31 cm wide. CONDITION: very good, 5 cm hairline, no cracks or chips and free from restorations. Good sound when tapping with finger tips.

Of oval shape, decorated with flower branches. Qianlong period, (1736-1795). Dimensions: 31x25x8 cm. Excellent condition, only minor ware to the glaze on the rim.

Measuring 11 3/4" high and 4" across base, this Okimono of a Bijin holds a scroll, which has unfurled to her feet, where a cat plays with it. In rich colors and heavy enamel, the figure is both serene and elegant. Nice detail on the robes and clothing, with gilt details on her hair ornaments and along the edge of the scroll. Excellent condition, no chips, cracks or losses to enamel. Late Meiji, ca 1900

A water bucket shaped earthenware vase finely painted with micro calligraphy in Kanji (Chinese characters), paper slips and chrysanthemum flowers in moriage technique. Base with "Kutani" mark. Dating to Taisho period or later. Condition: minor wear to gilding and colors, interior with few traces of usage. Dimension: c. 22.3 cm high, diameter: 8.2 cm, weight: 500 g.

Here is a Victorian gold-in-quartz (also called “gold quartz” and “gold-bearing quartz”) brooch. Gold-in-quartz is rare and becoming more so. It’s our understanding that it is now found in very few places in the world – possibly only one mine in California. The 14kt yellow gold setting has twisted gold on top of a carved gold oval. It measures 1-3/8 x 1-1/8" and weighs 6.8g. The pin assembly has been replaced. In excellent condition...

Just in time for St. Patrick’s Day, here is an English brooch featuring a large peridot (1 cm x 6 mm or 3/8” x 2/8”), and, on either side, seed pearl-set gold shamrocks. Flanking those are 3 demantoids garnets per side, plus 1 above and 1 below the peridot. Peridots symbolize spring and youthfulness, and it is said to bring health and wealth. On either side is an Art Nouveau whiplash of gold with more pearls. Stamped 15ct. The brooch weighs 5.1 g and measures 1-9/16” x 5/8”...

A pair of Chinese porcelain rice bowls and covers. Painted in famille rose enamels with dragons among lotus scrolls above waves. The base of each bowl carries a six character Daoguang reign mark in iron red. Republic period.

A stunner, early Deco Flli Coppini pendant necklace, this piece is not only holding a beautiful St. George slaying the Dragon medallion but it's adorned with a multitude of figural charms. Combinations like this are very hard to find and as the example at hand is wrought in .800 silver, it dates most probably in the pre-1934 period, when the sterling standard had not been yet adopted by the Italian authorities...

Scratches of ink form a precipitous landscape of jagged mountains on the paper surface of this scroll performed by Fujii Tatsukichi enclosed in a wooden box titled: Painted by the elder Tatsu, One Scroll, Mountain, Annotated by Eichi. It is framed in a silk border terminating in black lacquered rollers. It is 13-1/2 x 59 inches (34 x 149 cm) and is in excellent condition.
Kato Eichi (1899-1987) was a potter from Seto who trained under Tatsukichi...

1920-s 18Kt white gold filigree three stone ring is centered by an approximately 0.15Ct old-mine diamond. The center stone is flanked on either side by a 4 millimeter square natural sapphire. The top of the ring is covered by the stones, while the sides are masterfully decorated by openwork filigree. The ring is a size 6 ½ and can easily be sized.

Depicting two beauties fully robed, the smaller having yellow China stamp to base, both having an attractive old surface, largest measures 6.25"H, circa late 19th century. Condition Report; Good condition.

It’s been a while since I offered an example of Margot de Taxco’s zodiac jewelry and I am thrilled to be presenting this substantial Gemini pendant necklace here. Zodiac jewelry were popular with many Mexican maestros yet in my opinion, Margot’s creations surpass those of all her contemporaries. Sculptural, big and bold, they can be found as charms to be coupled with chain necklaces and enjoyed as pendants, like here, or dangling off the substantial bracelets she designed for that purpose...

Fine Burmese silver box, lid decorated with a male figure surrounded by floral design in high relief descending by geometric design, all 8 sides are also decorated with two female figures and animal cartuches and the base containing calligraphy, late 19th/ early 20th century period. American designer Patrice uses semi-precious stones in her jewelry. In this case olive jade and charoite with brass and vermilion for the pendant and earrings. The necklace itself is composed of freshwater pearls and gold plated chain. Necklace is 17", pendant is 3" by 2 1/2". The clip earrings are 1" square. Note the beautiful butterfly on the back of the pendant.

Mid-century set of sterling salt and pepper shakers signed by Salvador Teran, one of Mexico's foremost modernist designers. I love the sense of strong upward motion the swirling silver bands hugging the shakers' main body exude as well as the cleverly crafted little screw on "plug" that secures your seasonings are safely kept in their containers. Each shaker is 3 3/8” tall by approx. 1 3/4” wide (largest diameter at the top) and the pair weighs 104.5 grams...

An astonishing Los Ballesteros Mexican silver modernist bracelet in the type of hinged bangles the workshop excelled in producing, this is a design I have never encountered before and it is literally "crowned" by the hugest quartz gem ever! The gem's color is the smokiest, deepest "whiskey" - one can feel oneself sinking in its alluring depths yet still not be able to take one's eyes off it...
