Vintage sterling silver and leather bolo tie designed and signed circa 1950's by Taxco, Mexico artist Antonio Pineda. Original braided black leather tie measures 41" long. Sterling silver carved arrow head slide is 2" X 1 1/2". Hunting figure is carved out in the center adding visual dimension. Silver arrow heads finish the piece at the braid tips. Fully signed on the back with Antonio's trade crown hallmark, ANTONIO, TAXCO, 970, eagle, MOTA, TASCO...

Created in Frank Patania's Thunderbird shop, this box is a beautiful example of handmade Zuni art. Measuring 4 1/4" X 3 1/4" X 3/4" the piece weighs 166 grams. Carved onyx, turquoise and mother of pearl are inlaid in a silver frame to form the dragonfly. The bold hinge design is often seen on Frank Patania boxes. They work smoothly. The box is in beautiful condition. Hallmarked STERLING with Thunderbird.

Japanese mid-century sosaku hanga woodblock print by Kiyoshi Saito (1907-1997) titled "Winter in Aizu" from a series by the same name. Signed in black ink at the lower right and with the artist's red Kiyoshi seal above. Unlimited edition dating circa 1960s. Paper size: 11 9/16" x 17 1/8" (image: about 10" x 15 1/4). Very good overall condition and color with full margins. The print is very lightly sunstruck and there is a small faint browned spot in the center bottom by the margin...

A kendi, covered overall with green glazed typically of Fujian province Quanzhou ware exported to South-East Asian region. Yuan period 13th/14th century. Condition is very good excepted glaze flake like indicated on pictures, no crack, no chip and free from any restoration. Height: 17.5 cm.

Large size (11 3/4"), this bronze vase has applied sterling silver irises. The finish is bronze with verde sections visible, a mottled or variegated finish often utilized on Heintz Art Metal products. This piece is unsigned, and is early, prior to the patent pending and patent dates for this design, which is #3657. Like all Heintz Art vases and other objects, the bronze is a nice heavy weight, and the silver designs are also heavy and in high relief. In good condition, with a few minor scrap...

This 14Kt two tone openwork bar-pin is decorated by a blue enamel inner-frame and centered by an approximately 0.07Ct brilliant cut diamond. The enamel is in perfect condition. The length of the pin is 2 ½ “and the width varies from 3/16” to 5/16”.

An unusual 14Kt yellow gold and onyx signet ring, set with a 12 X 10 millimeter rectangular onyx. The onyx is topped by a three dimensional white gold skull and crossbones. The shank of the ring has 25 on one side and HH on the other. Probably indicating the date of 1925 and initials HH. The ring probably was worn as a pinky ring since it is a size 4 ¼, but it can easily be sized within limits.

Chinese enameled porcelain vase, depicting geometric design on the neck followed by landscape design on the body, seal mark to the base, 9 3/4 inches high with no condition concern, wood base in not a match therefore excluded.

Ultimately modernist in its approach to personal adornment, with Enrique Ledesma's signature perfection in the marriage of silver and stone, a necklace and earrings set with triangular links of sterling framing richly colored azur-malachite. Honesty of materials, craftsmanship of the highest level and immaculate finishing create a superb example of Taxco lapidary and silversmithing prowess. The necklace measures 15 3/4" long (wearable) by 5/8" wide while the clip-back earrings are 7/8" by 3/4"...

Rare lacquered brass microscope by F. Koritska, Milan, Italy ca 1900. The firm was founded in 1880 by Francesco Koritska, and was in operation until 1908. Of solid lacquered brass, with name stamped on base...

Elegant branch coral and sterling silver pin or brooch designed and signed circa 1930-40's by Taxco, Mexico designer Matilde Poulat. Poulat signed her work Matl, a variation of the Aztec word for water. Pin measures 1 1/2" X 1 1/2". Beautiful condition, signed on the back Matl 0.925 HECHO EN MEXICO. This early piece was designed and made before Poulat's passing in 1960. A similar design of this pin is pictured on p.221 of MEXICAN SILVER by Penny Morrill and Carole Berk.

Measuring 8 inches long by 5.5 inches high, this wonderful vintage 1920s, unmarked, cast iron doorstop features 3 charming black boys perched behind a fence eating luscious watermelon slices!

In all original condition with absolutely no repainting, this delightful piece retains its brilliant coloration. The piece has appropriate wear to paint as noted in photographs and also shows superficial rusting here and there, again, as noted in photos...

Stupendously beautiful, a vintage Deco Mexican silver bracelet that is not for the faint of heart! This is one of the most impressive, visually stunning examples of Mexico's early 20th c. jewelry I have seen. Its tall panels are profusely decorated with wirework and beading and set with two yummy, big amethyst cabochons each. Early as its pin-style clasp reveals and absolutely breath-taking it measures 7 3/4" in inner circumference (clasped) by 2 1/2" wide and weighs a whopping 179.6 grams...

Measuring just 2.25 inches in height (minus the hair!!), this extremely RARE, clear glass Golliwogg Perfume Bottle was sold by VIGNY Perfumeries of Paris, France in the 1920’s. The clear glass perfume was the second version of the Vigny “Le Golliwogg” perfume produced from the 1920’s into the 1930’s. The bottle design and name are based on a character created by Englishwoman, Florence K. Upton around the turn of the century...
