A rare Jizhou ware tea bowl, decorated to the exterior with tortoiseshell glaze, and with paper cut decoration of twin phoenix among a flower medallion in the center and butterflies reversed in dark brown against a veriegated buff ground on the interior. Song dynasty 12th-13th century from the kiln of Yonghe, Ji'an, Jiangxi province. Condition is perfect without any chip, no crack and free from restoration except glaze degradation. Diameter: 11.5cm and High: 5.1cm.

Chinese Ming Dynasty Glazed Horse & Rider

This impressive and detailed pottery model of a horse and rider was made during the Ming Dynasty (AD 1368 - 1644). It has been coated in green, amber and black glazes. The rider's head has been made separately and has been "cold-painted" in black and white pigments: the head fits into a slot in the neck of the rider. A Victorian walking stick with an exotic wood shaft fitted with a carved ivory handle modeled in the form of a fist clenching a ball. A fine touch of added quality is the carved snake bracelet with inlaid eyes which wraps around the hand, typical of jewelry worn in the Victorian age. A large and rare mid Edo period Tamba Funa-dokkuri Ship Bottle made with flaring mouth and wide flat bottom for use on Ships. Wearing the official robe, holding a scroll and sitting on a rock stool, the figure was in an image that differed from those that we've commonly seen. A good Japanese studio porcelain celadon censer (after Chinese Song dynasty examples), of kinuta color, by Suwa Sozan. Seal impressed on the bottom between the three legs with unglazed feet. With an even more extraordinary, finely worked silver cover with gilt highlights (eyes, beak, comb, feather details, hollyhock blossom stamens.) The treatment and the details of the hollyhock leaves down to the veining and insect nibbles is sublime...

You can own this classic Tiffany engagement ring for a reasonable price. The ring is set with a 0.31Ct brilliant cut diamond that has H color and VVS1 clarity. Just shy of 2" long, I give you the third and last and definitely quirkiest set of Sigi Pineda silver earrings I have been talking about. I happened to come upon the first of these in early summer, fell in love with its cartoonish strangeness - I had never seen this line of Sigi's before.
