Measuring 8.25 inches long, this vintage, Black Chef Spoon rest was made in JAPAN in the 1950's. Along with its jolly, wide-eyed caricature, the spoon rest features a rose-colored tulip painted on both sides and reads “SPOON- REST” in partially worn, brown lettering at the top of the chef’s hat. Note small "hanging hole" in back for display on the kitchen wall!

Description: A beautiful Imperial blue-ground porcelain bowl in large size was painted to the exterior with five-clawed dragon motif. In iron-red, the imperial motif of dragons were paired with Phoenix and decorated with patterns of tendrils flowers and weeds. A real imperial porcelain was in quite large size and very unique colour. Date: Qing Dynasty, Guang-xu mark and period (AD1875-1908) Width: 25.5cm Condition: very good except some kiln defects within the foot rim.

A rare example of Yuan dynasty blue & white bowl, with typically decorated inside and outside of the pattern had been usually used on the bowl. Condition is damaged like indicate on the pictures, with some nail chips and glue restoration. It’s a good and genuine example excavated piece found in South Sulawesi several years ago, very useful for comparison to the fake products. Diameter: 17 cm.

A beautifully potted octagonal Jun-Yao bowl from the Song Dynasty (960 – 1276). The colour of the bowl is more to the purplish side than blue hue that is shown in the picture. This is due to the light reflection that throws out the blue colour. The foot stand is burnt to light russet brown in colour with a small chip.

Some minor abrasion. A single chip to the stand of the bowl (Picture 6). There are no crack, restoration or repair...

This is a very beautifully potted and unusual Yuan Dynasty(1277-1367) qingbai (yingqing) meiping or plum vase. It has a thick foot base then rise slightly upward to a beaded and slightly baluster body with a slightly rounded and then flat shoulder and then rising to a single loop neck. The design is that of moulded lotus flowers and leaf in various stages of flowering in four carthouces on the shoulder as well as the body...

A very interesting and beautifully made sterling parrot necklace by Tane, the silver manufacturing company in Mexico City whose emphasis is on quality. The founders arrived in Mexico City in 1942 and the Tane Company greatly expanded in the 1960's and 1970's with the assistance of Tiffany & Co. Description: An enamel covered box of Qing dynasty was kept well and with an old auction sticker of the Christie's on it. Decorated with beautiful motif of flowers in four parts including at the cover, metal wire was chased into the scarlet ground and formed with archaic regular lines. Date: Qing Dynasty (19th Century) Condition: Two minor old defects. One was at the rim of the cover while the other was at the bottom. Height: 7.9cm Width: 6.3cm

This is a small earthenware Sui dynasty (A.D 581 - 618) lotus design comestic box. It has three small rounded compartment. The top part shows the lotus bud, pods and leave. The three flowers below are shown as three small comestic boxes in melon shape.

Aside from some abrasions, there are only minor chips at the base (picture 6). Other than that, it is in good condition.

The measurement of the yueyao comestic box is: Length 8.3cm and the Height is 5cm.
