This rare, vintage, hand forged silver necklace was designed by Taxco, Mexico artist William Spratling. The necklace is 18" long and weighs 80 Grams. The piece is in beautiful condition. The slide in clasp is in fine working order as is the attached safety chain. The WS hallmark with eagle 30 stamp is on the clasp.
This design appears to be Spratling's take on the Byzantine design.

All the precious stones are represented in this elegant 14Kt yellow gold openwork flower ring. The 3 flowers are set with emeralds, sapphires and rubies. Each flower is centered by a full-cut diamond. The openwork design is bordered on either side by pave set diamonds. It has a foliated rim and the whole of the inner surface is decorated with a moulded pattern comprising two bands of multiple parallel lines radiating out from the centre of the bowl in the form of thin flower petals.
