An early work by the important Shino potter Katō Yasukage XIV 14 代加藤康景 (1964-2012), made as Katō Masaharu 加藤正治, a name he used before ascending to a family name in 2001. Shunto Kato was born as a member of the famous family of Seto pottery scene in 1916. He had been studying in the traditional glaze in Seto and then mastered the ashes glaze praised by many authorities. He won the Aichi pref.Intangible cultural property holder. He also is well known as a corrector of Asian potteries. This piece is created in 1986, we have corrected it with new condition and not used.
