Karhu printed these invitations for his shows at the Tolman Collection, the Tokyo gallery which has long represented him and his work. These were done in large numbers, about 800, in the late 1970's and early 1980's. This particular print reads "banji wa tanoshimu beshi," Whatever You Do, Enjoy It, a very Zen-like saying. Karhu himself is depicted with Brush in hand, writing the character, "koi" (love.) This image is finely framed and is in good condition...

A rare small self-published book titled Collection of Exlibris Initials (Kashiramoji shōhyōshō 頭文字書票集) by Kamiya Kiyotaka 紙屋清貴 (b. 1951). Book is only 7 x 6.9 x 0.6 cm in size, and consists of 20 pages, containing 18 exlibris prints, woodblock printed covers and two wood cut pages- title page and justification page. It is signed in pencil and numbered 4/20. Published in 1989. Eighteen Exlibris prints are tipped in onto pages, smallest of which is 2.1 x 2 cm...
