Gorgeous & extremely rare this vintage abalone & sterling silver bracelet was designed & signed c. 1950 by Taxco, Mexico modernist artist Antonio Pineda (1919-2009). The bracelet measures 2 inches high at the front center & 3/4 inch at the back spring. Wearable interior length is 6 1/2 inches. Screw back earrings are 1 inch high. Bracelet spring is tight and secure. The hand carved abalone leaves have an exquisite iridescent sheen. All in excellent condition with a beautiful warm patina.

Antonio Pineda Smokey quartz love knot is shown in the book Silver Seduction by Gobi Stomberg. The mounting is made with thick silver and the faceted stone is large at 1in. tall and .75in. across. The facets are beautifully cut and the stone glows with gold sparks. The pictures in no way capture the stones fire. The pendant weighs a total of 45 grams. This Bracelet is a design most recognized by Fred Davis. Hallmarked Mexico Silver and being 7.25in. long and 1.5in. tall makes this bracelet quite a statement maker. The bezels are very well made and there are no dents or chips to the stones or silver. Even though it has an open air design it still weighs 65 grams heavy. Round mod geometric applied designs on dome post earrings script signed "Sterling" "Howison" with large sterling earring backs. Julie Howison a jewelry designer from Portland Maine. A striking pair of double-sided cufflinks made from Georgian cut steel and garnet buttons joined with 15K yellow gold chains. A vintage pair of signed Christian Dior gold plated 1968 striped agate glass clip-on earrings. These 7/8 x 5/8" earrings feature bezel-set rectangular rootbeer coloured glass stones resembling banded agates; they also have a bit of movement similar to tigereyes. This pair is in excellent condition with no cracks, dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs other than a tiny flake on the middle of one glass stone (barely visible, and exaggerated under our halogens)...

This graceful sterling silver ring is formed as a stylized snake with an impressed band starting at the head and tapering to the tail. The impressed area is nicely oxidized and decorated with contrasting circular elements, one of which serves as the snake's eye. The patina is soft and is nicely enhanced by the oxidation. Fabulous bauhaus design modernist rhodocrosite and sterling ring, c.1960's. The band is an integral part of the design and it is signed "STERLING SILVER". The rings is size 7 3/4 and is in excellent condition with some wear around the edge of the stone due to the age. The stone itself is 13/16" in diameter and the ring stands 1/2" high. A modernist sterling silver brooch by noted mid century jeweler, Sam Kramer, in the shape of a stylized fish or bird with an amethyst eye. Measures 2" square. Has a faceted pear shaped amethyst stone cabochon on an additional layer of sterling. Marked with Sam Kramer's mushroom mark and sterling. Rollover safety clasp holds securely. Possibly one of Hector Aguilar's most recognizable designs, his timeless "lyre" necklace and bracelet are both sensual & strong. The necklace is 16" long X 3/4" wide & weighs 144 grams. This is a spectacular set of necklace, pin, and earrings which were produced 1930's - early 1940's in Mexico. The design is one which originated from Fred Davis, and also one which is very seldom seen. This set does not bear the FD mark from Davis, but is simply hallmarked "Silver Made in Mexico". It is my belief that this was likely created by the same silversmith who produced the design for Fred Davis - who contracted several master silversmiths to produce his designs. A classic pair of Art Deco sterling silver stirrup cufflinks, the ends set with black onyx sugarloaf cabochons. This style of cufflink was popularized by Cartier in the 1920s. The cufflinks bear Swiss import hallmarks used until 1934, and are stamped "935" indicating that they have a slightly higher pure silver content than sterling silver.
