A pair of vintage sterling silver earrings by Hans Hansen, Denmark are available. They have a hammered streamlined design.

They measure 1 1/8" in diameter. They sit about 1/2" high. These earrings are each marked HaH, Denmark and 925S. The clips hold securely.

Have a warm patina. Lightly hammered. There are a few very small nicks to the edges but they are not really noticeable because they are on the sides. Weigh 20 gr.

Have not found another example of this design. Fine work.

This pretty pin combines the styles of Art Nouveau and Edwardian jewelry. We are attributing it to Whiteside & Blank, although it’s unsigned (not unusual for the time), since it’s remarkably similar to another piece by them. The pin consists of a gold framework enameled in very pale green – almost white - in a formal Edwardian key pattern. In the middle is a sprig of gold leaves with a pearl berry; the stem twines around the framework...

This cool as a cucumber brooch is layered in greens. The center contains a cluster of aurora borealis faceted stones, the top layer has pale green navettes, while the bottom layer is encrusted with rich emerald green brilliant cut style rhinestones. All of them are securely set in backed multi-pronged holders.

Unsigned, this piece is unmistakably Juliana as evidenced by the strong construction. We date this beautiful brooch to c. 1960...

This beautiful unsigned ring has been attributed to Bernard Instone, one of the well-known Arts & Crafts era jewelers, who frequently didn’t sign his pieces. He often used leaves-as-prongs for setting stones, and as was often the way in the A&C movement, he didn’t use costly stones nor gold, so he could keep his prices affordable. This ring is made from sterling silver and set with a blue-green “Swiss lapis” (dyed quartz) which measures approximately 3/4” x 9/16”...

Three vintage sterling silver brooches by Hans Hansen, Denmark are available.

The first brooch was designed by Bent Gabrielsen. Measures about 1 3/4" across and 1 3/8" tall. Marked with the conjoined HH, 110 for the design number, Denmark and 925S.

The next one measures about 2 1/8" long and 1 1/4"wide. Marked with the script signature, Denmark and 925S. Part of his 'Modern Line'. Nice contrast of an oxidized background and polished sterling...

Here is a fabulous and very unusual swag/festoon/garland necklace, with several amethysts and many seed pearls! The rigid cross piece has a chain running above it, through loops over 5 oval amethysts with very nice color, each set into an inverted heart-shaped framework, and separated from the next by a tiny pearl. Set below each amethyst is a seed pearl, and below the framework are draping chain garlands, the central five each having a freshwater pearl dangle...

Circa 1943-1948, the "Armadillo" design was originally created by Valentin Vidaurreta. It's a very striking and unique piece which immediately commands attention. This bracelet has two opposing silver discs set in the center of a black strap with a silver buckle closure. The strap is very fine leather, with suede on the outside and smooth leather on the inside. Measures 7 5/8" end to end. Closed, wearable length is 7 1/4"...

This white metal bracelet consists of 7 links, each with two dolphins leaping through a heart. Really sweet! Dolphins represent peace, harmony, and joy. 7-3/4” long, with a toggle closure. An Art Deco style silver bracelet from Mexico with seven bullet shaped prong set amethyst cabochons. The stones have some inclusions.

Marked Mexico Silver on the back. Probably 980 which is better than sterling and was commonly used at the time. Measures 6 1/2" long, 1/2" wide and 3/4" high. Box clasp holds securely.

The stones are held in place by long hand made prongs. The stones wiggle a little bit. The clasp has a curled hand made button. Has minor surfaces scratches and tarnish...

This classic Art Nouveau stick pin is centered by a round amethyst, birthstone for February. (Back in the day, amethysts were thought to prevent inebriation, as well as being a cure for headaches – there’s a theme here!). There is a seed pearl above and one below, all mounted in a (marked and tested) 14kt “whiplash” frame (the whiplash motif was very popular with Nouveau designers). Measuring 1/2” x 2-1/4" long, it weighs 1.5g. It has an illegible maker’s mark. The pin is curved, but...

This pretty pin is in the style of Murrle, Bennett and Archibald Knox. The design is that of a heart interlaced with a navette-shaped frame (this interlace-type motif is also called “entrelac”). It is centered by an oval turquoise, and has a safety chain – always useful! Unsigned, and marked 9ct. It measures 1-1/2 x 3/4", and weighs 2.6g. The gold has a nice patina, and it is in excellent antique condition. Circa 1900. The photos are part of the description; please examine them carefully....
