Research as far as we have found has indicated a Canadian maker, and we have run across a few pieces before marked this way, but still looking for details. LARGE HOBE sterling and gold-washed beautiful floral and leaf brooch with blue glass stone PLUS sterling earrings with matching blue glass stones, c1940's. LARGE pin measures 2 3/4" by 1 3/4" and is signed "HOBE STERLNG". Rich design with leaves and flowers, the two colored metals provide contrast. Excellent condition except that the blue glass flower is missing only one of the 10 prongs(see photo 1) - so is not loose at all...
This 3 3/4" long x 2" wide Trifari brooch was designed by Spaney in 1941 ( Pat # 129319). It is in excellent condition.
This dome-shapesd Weiss butterfly is gorgeous. And enormous. It is very old Weiss, 1940's. Various shapes and sizes of rhinestones with a huge center cabachon, all prong set. Weiss oval plaque and copyright symbol on the back. Brooch is 4" wide, 4 1/2" high and 1" front to back.

This sterling circus horse pin looks a lot like David Mir's circus horse except that this circus horse is made of sterling vermeil. It is 2 1/2" tall and 2 1/4" wide. It is hallmarked sterling. The only major difference is the lack of enameling. This horse also has very elaborately decorative trimmings. I know that the real one for sure is worth $1600.00 +_ if you can find one.

This Joseff of Hollywood crab, shell and 13 mm pearl brooch is in excellent condition. The mysteries of the Middle East influenced this design.
The detailed modeling is in the Russian gold finish they made famous for its photographic effect. The crab sits on a scallop shell and holds a large and lustrous simulated pearl. It is hallmarked Joseff signature on an applied plaque. It is 2" x 2 1/4".
Joseff was the jeweler for the Hollywood movie moguls form 1930-1948...

Francois - Coro tried to give their costume jewelry a "French" touch and Francois was chosen as the name for their higher end jewelry. The line was introduced in 1933. But the line only lasted until 1944 when it was replaced by Vendome as Coro's Couturier division...
