An interesting pair of cufflinks carved from pieces of coral and shaped as koi. Each fish has the distinctive ruffled tail fins that are typical of the species. The fronts are joined with silvered chains to the backs which are simple pieces of coral branch. The color is very nice and is completely natural.

Origin: Southeast Asia, ca. 2000. Condition: excellent. Size: 7/8” x 1/2”.

Composed of oblong and rounded sides decorated with Middle Eastern-style motifs of embedded silver vines, leaves and stars. The cuff links are unmarked, but test definitively for silver. The bridge chains are securely fastened and composed of figure 8-like links; the wood and silver decoration exhibit no cracks or other signs of wear. The rounded sides measure just under ½ inch diameter. They are dated conservatively at around 1960.

Round two-sided cuff links ringed with inlaid cobalt blue enamel in a scalloped decoration and a central engraved grid pattern. They are well made with a nice heft; connecting rings and bridge bars are secure. Some of the grid pattern has worn off, as shown in the photos. Each button measures 5/8 inch in diameter. There appear to be worn marks on the connecting rings; the bridge bars are marked 800 to indicate silver content. Weight: 8.9 grams total

A handsome pair of Art Deco 18K yellow gold cufflinks, the faces with oval cabochon blue moonstones in slightly cupped settings. The gems have striking color and fine adularescence. The simple oval settings allow the stones to take center stage. The backs are marked "750" for 18K gold and have the maker's mark "S".

The rich look of these cuff links comes from the intricate engine-turned engraving and deeply embossed scrolled, vine-like borders. The backs exhibit securely soldered split bridge bars connected to domed anchor buttons known as bean backs. The bridge bars bear the mark for 14kt gold and what looks to be the maker’s mark of M.B. Elaborate wirework is the defining feature of these distinctive cuff links, which are unmarked but test as silver. They are gilded, including the wirework, and are enhanced with maroon enamel. The buttons are attached to silver gilt bars by chains. They come in a small box with the name of a jeweler in Lisbon, Portugal. The buttons measure a little over 5/8 inch in diameter.

Very nice Victorian sterling silver doubled-faced cufflinks decorated with Classical medallions in the Shiebler style. The medallions depict are Greek in style and depict and adult man and a youth in profile. The backgrounds are stippled and the edges are beveled and irregularly shaped to suggest antiquity. The backs are marked "Sterling".
