This great necklace is circa 1970. It is composed of sterling silver and vibrant, turquoise mosaic inlay-style. It measures 17 3/4" long and consists of 17 links that measure 7/8" x 1/2". Each link is slightly convex. It is marked TAXCO MEXICO 925 in a circle, with LVR in the middle and marked TU-08 below. It has a V-Spring and Box Clasp. It has good heft, weighing 70 grams / 2.5 ounces and it is in very good condition.

Hallmarks date this magnificent early Matilde Poulat necklace to 1934-1948. The centerpiece is huge, measuring 5" wide and 3 1/8" tall, with beautiful birds and and three large faceted purple flowers in a vase. Hand-wrought with exquisite repoussé silver work. Embellished with coral and turquoise cabochons, amethysts on the clasp. Closed, wearable length is about 18 1/2"...

Timeless and elegant this early Vintage Antonio Pineda Necklace features deep purple Amethyst Cabochon stones set to "float" above silver discs. Being offered is a rare and fine circa 1965 sterling silver bracelet by Sigfrido ‘SIGI’ Pineda of Taxco, Mexico. Heavy gauge handcrafted silver bracelet in a modern biomorphic design. Sigi, cousin of Los Castillo founder, Antonio Castillo, spent years working with Los Castillo, Salvador Teran, Felipe Martinez, and Margot de Taxco before opening his own shop in 1952. Dimensions: size 6 1/2"; 1 1/4" wide. Marked. In excellent condition.

This brooch by Matilde Poulat features a large amethyst front and center, with turquoise cabochons and coral branches in a butterfly design with dangles.

Measures 2" tall x 1 1/2" wide. Pin closes with a rolling "C" clasp.

Weight is 11.8 grams.

Signed and hallmarked "Matl Mexico 925", with the eagle assay 129. Dates to pre-1960.

Sterling doll cat motif. Well made with nice heft figural cat pin pendant sterling brass mixed metals stamped: TV-08 or TV-88 Mexico 925. The "T" barely visible in this viewer's opinion. The bail accommodates an omega/chain of 3.5-4mm wide.
The native peoples were known to make animal motif dolls for their children to play.

We are offering a signed M. Altamirano large Cuff studded with onyx stones and finished on the ends with a big swirl. The height is 2.5in. tall and it currently has a gap of 1 inch. The diameter is 2.25in. and this can be sized by a professional silver smith. From end to end it measures 5.5in. and the weight is 70 grams heavy. This iconic bracelet by the famous William Spratling is from his 1st design period and features braided bands of silver and copper at the center between two silver bands and wide end pieces of silver with an incised design. A big bracelet it measures 5 1/2" long with an opening of 1 1/2" long, 11/4" wide and it weighs a heavy 102.5 grams. In good condition with minor age related wear, it has developed a deep patina and will polish us nicely if you choose...

This mid-century Salvador Teran modernist pendant doubles as a pin. The three stones are pink quartz, chrysocolla, and jasper. It's a spectacular design, nice and large at 2 5/8" x 1 7/8". Weight is 36.1 grams. Signed and hallmarked "Salvador Sterling Mexico", with the design # 124. In excellent vintage condition. Pin closes with a roller.

This beautiful, sterling silver bracelet measures 7 1/2" long. Each link features a dark, multifaceted stone with iridescent colors. The stones are bezel set. The V-spring box clasp is marked on each piece: the V-spring has the Mexican Assay mark with a 2 inside the spread eagle. The box part is marked with words in a circle; but all I can make out is PLATA 925.

Rare to find and quintessentially Mexican Deco, especially if we are looking at the Mexico City school repousse pieces, these sterling silver rings with their carved stone "masquettes" are the dedicated collector's dream...

Extremely rare and large sterling figural pin by Abraham Paz, Mexico c.1930. He designed for Fred Davis, so it is clear that this famous design was created by Paz. Here, we see a variation on a theme, with a man wearing a serape and holding a rope. The signature is RARE showing the Paz mark, which this antique dealer has never seen before. This necklace was produced by P. Ochoa in Mexico City during the 1930's - 1940's. One seldom comes across the work of this silversmith, whose work closely mirrors that of Matilde Poulat.
