Being offered is a fine circa 1948 sterling silver necklace by Los Castillo, of Taxco, Mexico, each link handcrafted in a leaf motif with incised and oxidized detail. Hook clasp. Size 15” necklace. Links measure 1/2” wide. Weight, very heavy 3 1/2 ounces. Marked as illustrated. In excellent condition.

A large vintage cross pendant in Sterling Silver with Coral, Amethyst and Turquoise designed by Matilde Poulat and executed by her nephew, Ricardo Salas. Marked with both the Salas and Eagle #129 marks which is unusual.

Cross measures 3 1/4" tall including the small bale and 2 1/4" wide.

Marked MATL Mexico, 925 and Salas. Also marked MREG 142093 and Eagle #129.

Amethyst stones are pyramid shaped and have natural occlusions. Some of the coral stones are different thicknesses...

This is "The Armadillo" cuff. (The necklace is no longer available). It was designed circa 1945-50 by Valentin Vidaurreta and made by master silversmith Manuel Altamirano who worked for Valentin and also for Hector Aguilar. It is featured on page 198 of the book SILVER MASTERS OF MEXICO by Penny C. Morrill. The cuff is 5 1/2" around in the inside plus a 1 1/2" opening. It is 1 5/8" wide in the front and in fine all original condition with no damage or repairs...

Made in Mexico Silver necklace of fine workmanship having origins from Mexico City boasting great style. The repousse is with no dents and the fine S links lead off from the lengthy drop. The length is 18 inches but you can hook into a smaller length with the original spring ring. The amethysts are without damage as well. The center piece is approximately 3 inches across and 1.5 inches tall with 67 grams of thick repousse.
