A pair of vintage hammered sterling silver brooches from the American Studio Modernist jeweler, John Lewis, available in two sizes. Great hammered texture. Larger brooch measures about 1 3/4" across and 1 1/2" high. Smaller brooch measures 1 1/2" across and 1 3/8" high. Both pieces are marked Sterling and with the crossed JL mark of the artist. A vintage sterling silver geometric pendant with an inlay of exotic wood and a carnelian colored cabochon. Hand wrought intricate chain marked sterling on the hook clasp. Pendant measures 1 5/8" long and 7/8" across. Chain measures 19" long. Chain is original to the pendant, it can't be removed. Fine condition. Interesting contrast between wood and sterling surfaces. Well crafted studio piece.

An abstract sterling silver brooch by Modernist NYC Silversmith, Henry Steig. Has white and black colored pearls on either side of an 'X' design. Measures 2 5/8" long and 1 1/8" at the widest. A modernist cast sterling silver pendant in a 'pitchfork' design by noted Mid Century silversmith Christian Schmidt, (1926-1974). Signed with his stylized 'S' hallmark and Sterling. Measures 2 3/8" long and 7/8" across. Three dimensional curved design. Interesting contrast of dark textured patina on the sides and polished surfaces on the top. Would look great on either an neck ring or chain.

A vintage heavy sterling brooch depicting a gnarled branch by the noted Maine Silversmith, Condon Kuhl. There is also a sterling pendant in the shape of a Ginko leaf by the same artist. The pendant can be hooked onto the branch and worn together.

The brooch measures 3 1/4" long and 1 1/4" at the widest. Has a rollover clasp that holds securely. Heavy and solid. The Ginko pendant measures 2 1/8" long and 1 3/4" across. Has delicate texturing on the surface...

A very unique hand hammered sterling pendant and necklace with two green stones, (probably Chrysoprase).

Pendant measures 6" long and 1 3/4" at the widest. Chain measures 18" long and has a hook closure. Marked on the back Israel, 925 and an 'M' in a circle for the artisan's mark.

There are 'Y' shaped cut outs behind the stones so light can shine through. Striking design, lots of movement.

A vintage modernist 800 Silver buckle with a brutalist design. Signed on the back with the studio artist's initials, 'RA' and 800.

Measures 3 1/2" long and 1 7/8" wide. Has a three dimensional design that resembles the surface of the moon.

These modernist earrings feature polished, irregular-shaped composite turquoise drops attached to serpentine pieces of forged sterling silver wire, secured by curled ends. They hang from commercial screw backs that are marked (and test positively for) sterling silver and are in excellent working condition. The earrings measure approximately 2 1/4 in. long. They are otherwise unmarked.

A substantial bangle bracelet decorated with impressed and oxidized geometric designs. The pattern goes all the way around the bangle and appears to be random, giving it a quirky yet sophisticated look. It is marked sterling and dates around 1970 or earlier. The piece has a nice heft and feel on the wrist. It is 1/16 in. thick and 3/8 in. wide with an internal circumference of approximately 8 in. Weight: 36.4 grams

Simple, elegant modernist earrings of irregular-shaped panels by Frances Holmes Boothby, bezel-set with cabochons of dyed black onyx. They have very secure screw backs and are marked fhb on the reverse of one, sterling on the other, with sterling indicated on both of the screw backs. The stones are in excellent condition, with no scratches, nicks or other issues. The earrings measure approximately 3/4 in. long by 1/2 in. wide. Gross weight: 7.4 grams total

An amazing sterling silver Cuff Bracelet by the well known Arizona modernist silversmith, H. Fred Skaggs. Has one huge central oval greenish-black cabochon surrounded by thick sterling curls.

Measures about 5 1/2" around with an opening of 1 1/2". Can be adjusted slightly. Cabochon measures 3 3/8" long and 2" wide. The bracelet has tarnish, we will leave the decision to polish or not up to the new owner.

A long pitchfork shaped sterling silver brooch by Jean Lasnier. He was a member of the Metal Arts Guild between 1951-64 with many of the well known studio artisans of the Mid Century Modern jewelry movement.

Made of polished sterling with a central textured piece for an interesting contrast. Measures 4" long and 1" across at the widest. Marked Sterling and Lasnier on the back. Has a rollover clasp that holds securely.

Fine condition. Striking design.
