Three pieces of modernist sterling jewelry by noted Vermont jeweler, Luella C. Schroeder, (1918-2004), who worked at the Cranbrook Institute before going off on her own to open a jewelry studio are available. They may be purchased individually or in any combination.

The first item is a sterling silver modernist brooch with a layer of three stylized fish on a contrasting darkened silver background. Measures 2 1/4" long and almost an inch across...

A pair of pierced Mid Century Modern vintage sterling silver earrings with swish overlays on contrasting oxidized areas. Opposites so frame the face when worn.

The earrings measure 1/2" at the widest and 1 3/8" tall including the hooks. Unsigned.

They are in fine condition, with very minor surface scratches and some tarnish. Looks like the backs have been replaced.

Lots of movement when worn...

A modernist Sterling Silver shadowbox pendant with a 14K Gold orb suspended from the original chain by Ed Levin. The pendant has a brushed finish. The chain goes through the orb.

The pendant measures about 1" high and 7/8" across. The chain is about 18" long. The pendant is signed © EL Ed Levin, Ster and 14K.

Fine condition with minor surface scratches and some tarnish. The chain has a large stylized hook which holds securely.

The brooch measures about 2 1/2" across and 1" at the widest. Has an interesting textured finish...

A stand out modernist sterling silver Neck Ring designed by Minas Spiridis, (1938-2020), for Cartier. He was the first non Danish jewelry designer for Georg Jensen.

Marked on the back MINAS in a Greek style font, Sterling and Cartier. Also marked Cartier at the end of one arm.

Measures 11" around with an opening of 3". Meant to sit on the collar bone. Measures 1/2" wide in the center. Can probably be adjusted slightly. Better for a slender neck...

A rare early, molten sterling silver brooch by Sam Kramer. Has lots of layers and different contrasting textures.

Measures 1 5/8" high and 1 3/8" wide.

Signed with an impressed mushroom and sterling on the back. Has a rollover clasp that holds securely. Heavy and substantial. Weighs 24 gr.

A vintage sterling silver large pendant on a silver neck ring. Has a central prong set rough brown and green swirled slab. Not sure what the stone is. Signed on the back with a stylized MLewis, Sterling and a mushroom hallmark. We have not been able to identify the artist.

The pendant measures 3 1/4" long including the bale and 1 3/8" at the widest. Has some minor surface scratches and a warm patina.

A modernist sterling silver hand wrought cuff bracelet and/or spiral triangular earrings by Lore Garrick, (1920-2013). Lore Garrick made hand crafted jewelry in NYC in the 1950s. Known as 'Mother Lore' because her son became Tamal Krishna Goswami, she made the first pieces of jewelry for the Hare Krishna movement in Los Angeles.

The bracelet is constructed of two layers of sterling with a spiral on the thick curved wire layer...

Large 14k and sterling Gemini astrological pin showing an applied dancing man and woman with fourteen 14k applied stars. This large domed pin measures 2 1/4" in diameter and is made of heavy gauge silver. It is signed "TN(stylized) STERLING", and is in excellent condition......$9 for insured USA shipping & applicable NY tax.

Hand made modernist sterling and robin's egg blue(front) and white(back) enamel screw back earrings by Willett, c.1950's. They measure 3/4" square and are each signed "WILLETT STERLING" and are in fair condition, with some enamel missing et the edges.....$6 for insured USA shipping & appicable NY tax.

Danish silversmith Gertrude Engel made this unique, modernist ring. Her signature is found on many Anton Michelsen pieces, along with the AM crown maker’s mark (as she designed for that firm). This ring, however, is solely signed by her (see pictures). The rounded band of heavy gauge silver is 1/2” wide. It has a cluster of 10 bezel set carnelian cabochons. It is signed “Gengel,” in script (her maker’s mark), and “925S” and is in excellent condition. It is about a size 5.

These handsome cuff links are so very sleek while they keep it simple: a welcome characteristic of Pearson’s work. The heavy, solid, sterling silver is another Pearson signature. They measure 1” x 3/4” (x 1/8” at their widest). They are both signed “STERLING PEARSON” and are in excellent condition.

These illustrious earrings are an early example of the luminary, Norwegian silversmith’s artistry. They were made while she was at Norway Designs Plus Studio. This more-than-unique pendant is quite a piece of art. With a textured surface on both sides, it is a wonderfully abstract grid of connected, irregular squares/rectangles layered at various heights. Adding to its unusual beauty are the 3 amethyst cabochons, bezel set in protruding cylinders. The attractive patina is another plus. The pendant is made of 835 silver (stamped in 2 places). I am unable to find any other discernible marks...

Fabulous, large, hand made Picasso-esque double profile face ring by Joseph Gourdji, NYC, c.1970's. Made of heavy gauge silver, the design shows two faces in profile. Quite large, it measures 1 1/8" tall. It is made so that the design faces out, so that it is size 9 1/4 at the top of the faces and size 8 3/4 at the bottom of the faces. However, if you want to wear it so that it faces towards the wearer, it is size 8 3/4-9. In excellent condition and is signed "GOURDJI STERLING". Wonderful!......

Vintage sterling articulated necklace with a detachable matching pendant with cabochon cut genuine amethyst stones. Circa 1955. A studio piece, not marked or signed but tests positive for sterling silver. With a hook clasp. The color of the stones is a bit warmer than the photos depict.
