Made by JO CATANZARO, deceased modernist jeweler from Buffalo NY, c.1950's. This piece is part of the collection that was purchased from her studio after her death in 2004. Measures 2 7/8" by 2". Large scale modernist hand made sterling and cultured pearl ring, Israel, c.1960's. Center measures 1" wide by 13/16" long by 3/4" high. Measures size 7 1/2 but seems to fit size 8+ finger and is in excellent condition. Ring is signed "ISRAEL 925"......$10 for insured USA shipping.

This is a small pin, but its design reflects both charm and sophistication, with overlapping strands of sterling silver terminating in a smooth, fused surface. It is beautifully oxidized, which gives the piece depth, and nicely sets off the 6mm coral bead. The pin is marked ‘phyllis’ and sterling on the back, for modernist jeweler Phyllis Sklar. Sklar began selling her handcrafted jewelry in Greenwich Village during the 1950s, eventually moving to Provincetown, MA, where she died in 2010...

A vintage sterling silver abstract modernist ring from the shop of Walter Wright, a Los Angeles jeweler. Wright was an associate of Margaret De Patta and sold her work and other modernist jewelry. A five sided central design with three dimensional circles and bars coming off a blackened background. Approximately a size 10. Marked Walter Wright Sterling. Has some tarnish, a few scratches on the back of the band and a little wear to the black. Great example of mid-century modern studio jewelry.

A graceful pendant of clean, spare design and lightly oxidized. The back bears the mark of modernist jeweler Bill Tendler. The pendant measures 1 ½ inches long by ½ inch at its widest part. Weight: 2.8 grams (A 24-inch chain is included; it did not originate with the pendant, but is of the same period.)

A rare early, molten sterling silver brooch by Sam Kramer. Has lots of layers and different contrasting textures.

Measures 1 5/8" high and 1 3/8" wide.

Signed with an impressed mushroom and sterling on the back. Has a rollover clasp that holds securely. Heavy and substantial. Weighs 24 gr.

A whimsical brooch made of one layer of 950 silver and two layers of Faux Tortoise Shell in the shape of a fish. Has silver inlay for the eye. Measures 2 1/2" long and 1 7/8" high. Has a rollover safety clasp which holds securely. Marked 950 AR on the clasp. Has some minor scratches and tarnish. Fun design.
