This ring has an oval, biomorphic shape with a sparkly, green, glass cab in the center. It is surmounted on a tapered band. It is a size 5 (but is adjustable). It measures 1 1/8" x 3/4" (at its widest) and 1/8" (at its "thickest"). The ring is thick, heavy gauge silver plate. It is very good condition.

Modernist design enamel and silver pin, c.1950's. Design is a pair of flesh-colored hands with a blue bird in the upper left corner. The other enamel colors are red, yellow, green, black, and brown. Has some scuffs and a little tarnish. Adds to the brutalist nature of the piece so not sure if some of it is original.

Large hand made silver modernist necklace with a green moss agate and green turquoise stone, c.1960's. Constructed of silver wire(5 1/2" long each side) forming the rear part of the necklace followed by flat silver disks(5" long each side) that form around the front of the neck and a 4"long by 1 3/4" wide center section including three suspended disk sections. A pair of vintage sterling silver heart shaped earrings by Peggy Ackerly, (1921-2011), who apprenticed with Sam Kramer from 1943-64. Ackerly helped design and execute many of Kramer's most iconic pieces. These earrings are post 1968, when she began using the conjoined MA mark for Margaret Ackerly.

The heart shaped pieces swing on the curled vines that are attached to the ear wires. The earrings measure 7/8" across and 1" tall. Marked with her hallmark and sterling on the back of each one...

A modernist sterling silver heavy pendant necklace signed Gra-Wun for the Scottsdale Arizona jeweler Ray Graves. The central pendant is textured and layered for an interesting effect. The hand wrought links are concave on two sides.

The pendant measures 2 1/4" across and 1 3/8" high. The necklace measures about 26" in total. Weighs 75 gr. Has no closure, meant to be slipped over the head.

This complex bracelet has an almost glitzy appearance that belies its artistry, but gives it a formal look. It is composed of cast rectangular links of two sizes, alternating with organic, anemone-like elements; it looks to have been made from lost-wax casting. It features an iridescent finish that gives it a pinkish tone in some places; on one of the end links, the finishing process has left a darkened area...

Choice of two modernist cast sterling silver brooches; one in a stylized bird design and the other in a stylized scorpion design with a pearl by noted Mid Century silversmith Christian Schmidt, (1926-1974). Here is a bold, mid-century modernist money clip. It's composed of a flexible but sturdy forged-wire frame, with an applied mounted piece of rosewood in a trapezoidal shape. A silver half-bead is applied to a crossbar near the top. The wood has a polished surface and shows no damage or cracking. The clip is unmarked, but tests as sterling. It measures 2 ½ inches long by ¾ inch wide.

Architectural modernist sterling horse head earrings by Paul Lobel(1899-1983), c.1950's. These earrings show a stylized horse head with applied silver wire forming a dimensional profile. A rare early, large figural sterling silver pendant by Sam Kramer. Looks like an abstract man, maybe even a pirate. Measures 3 3/4" long and 2 3/4" wide. Signed with an impressed mushroom on the front of his leg. Heavy and substantial. Fine example of his work.

Composed of oval twisted-wire rings, this 1960s long chain is easy to wear and has a very contemporary look. It is unmarked, but tests as sterling and is very well constructed, with each link secured with solder. There is no clasp, just throw it on and go. When worn, the chain drops 19 ¼ inches long. Weight: 33.7 grams

A very well crafted pair of sterling silver earrings and matching pendant, each with a prong set rose quartz stone. We especially like how the prongs are formed from folding pieces of the main parts. Pendant measures 2 1/2" long and 1 3/4" across. Would look nice on a chain or neck ring. Screw back earrings measure 1 3/8" high and 1 1/8" across. Screw backs are marked T2 and Sterling. They hold securely. Very nice condition, warm patina. Great modernist design.

A long pitchfork shaped sterling silver brooch by Jean Lasnier. He was a member of the Metal Arts Guild between 1951-64 with many of the well known studio artisans of the Mid Century Modern jewelry movement.

Made of polished sterling with a central textured piece for an interesting contrast. Measures 4" long and 1" across at the widest. Marked Sterling and Lasnier on the back. Has a rollover clasp that holds securely.

Fine condition. Striking design.

Formed as a stylized, textured ribbon, bisected by a flattened band. The pin has a dynamic feel and is quite sturdy. The rollover clasp is original to the piece and in good working order. The back bears the eagle 3 mark, as well as marks for Mexico and sterling, but no maker’s mark. The pin measures 2 ½ inches by ¾ inch wide. Gross weight: 7.4 grams

Composed of two rectangular layers of sterling silver, top one curved and with a cutout comma-shaped design exposing a highly oxidized interior. The ring is marked sterling and has Joseph Skinger’s script signature mark. Skinger was a Vermont studio metalsmith who was most productive during the 1950s and 1960s; he died in 1967. I am told by Carol Skinger, Joe's daughter, that the design is known as 'Mountain Shadow' and was produced as choker necklaces, bracelets and pins...

Sterling modernist ring by silversmith Bill Tendler(1924-1981), NYC, c.1955. Bold architectural design using shiny silver columns set out from an oxydized background. The ring face measures 3/4" wide by 3/8" high and is size 4 3/4. The band has an interesting shape and is an integral part of the design. A very unique hand wrought large pendant in sterling silver, reminds us of a large paperclip. Made from a thick curled sterling wire. Signed M. Bowles Sterling and Hand Wrought on the back.

Danish silversmith Gertrude Engel made this unique, modernist ring. Her signature is found on many Anton Michelsen pieces, along with the AM crown maker’s mark (as she designed for that firm). This ring, however, is solely signed by her (see pictures). The rounded band of heavy gauge silver is 1/2” wide. It has a cluster of 10 bezel set carnelian cabochons. It is signed “Gengel,” in script (her maker’s mark), and “925S” and is in excellent condition. It is about a size 5.
