Magnificent handmade sterling cuff with precise fine line chiseling by Navajo Sam Roanhorse (1916-1988). He was the brother of Ambrose Roanhorse, who he studied with, and also worked for the White Hogan Shop from 1951-52. His work is rare to find and highly collectible. This cuff measures 5 1/2" around in the inside plus an additional 1 1/4" opening. Weighing 89 grams, it is in fine original condition and signed as shown. An exquisite piece of exceptional quality and craftsmanship.

This unusual sterling silver ring was designed by Frank Patania Sr. in the 1950's. The ring size is a 7 1/2. It measures 1 3/8" tall X 3/4" & is in excellent condition with a warm, aged patina. The beautiful turquoise stone is bezel set. Patania hallmarks are FP, STERLING, & the THUNDERBIRD Shop logo.

Quite impressive in size and richly decorated with stampwork this vintage sterling silver and turquoise brooch is signed by Navajo silversmith Willie Shaw. I was always attracted to the magical blues and greens of turquoise and I find the so-called "spiderweb" stones irresistible. This particular one, with its big area of all-black, makes the juxtaposition of the two colors even more dramatic. The brooch measures 3 1/2" long and its width varies between 1 1/4" and 5/8"...

A signed sterling green turquoise cross by Evelyn Anderson who worked for the Atkinson Trading Company. The necklace is not original to the piece and has some darkening in areas that is difficult to polish. The cross is marked E.A. Sterling and measures 3" x 4"; the 24" necklace is unmarked. A similar piece can be found in "Skystone and Silver ~ The Collector's Book of Southwest Indian Jewelry".

A great collection of three vintage Navajo handmade round sterling boxes with elaborate stamping. All of the lids pull off. The box with the star top measures 2 1/4" diameter, 1 1/8" high and weighs 56 grams. The box with the turquoise stone is 2 1/4" diameter, 3/4" high and weighs 49 grams. The box with the round silver dome is 2 1/4" diameter, 1/2" high and weighs 45 grams. They are unsigned. All are in fine original condition and free of dents or dings...

Nice quality and good weight, this bracelet is comprised of 7 bands, four which are triangular shaped and have stamping across the entire front of the bands, and three bands of twisted silver rope, all hand hammered and filed. Hand stamped coin silver belt, Navajo or Dine, pre-1960, good weight with precise stamped designs, unsigned. Measures 30" x 1", buckle is 1 7/8" x 1 1/4". Each section is slightly curved both horizontally and vertically. X shaped spacers connect with rings set into looped bands, and fastener is a simple clip that fits into a loop. Vintage brown leather belt with sterling and coral belt buckle, and sterling end tip and keeper by Navajo Kee Joe Benally. Now deceased, he began working in the 50's and was employed by Woodard's Indian Shop in Gallup, NM for 15 years. The belt buckle measures 2 3/4" by 2 1/4". It has precise line chiseling as does the keeper and end tip. A vibrant bezel set red coral stone highlights the buckle. The leather belt is 45" end to end and is 1 1/4" wide...

Magnificent, rare vintage sterling and coral circular shaped petit point ring by Zuni Edith Tsatbetsaye , circa 1970. Many silversmiths created petit point pieces, but this silversmith took the art to an extreme. This ring is set with semicircular high domed and arched stones, this cut being her trademark. A vintage pair of mid century modernist clip earrings in sterling silver and ironwood by the noted Navajo silversmith, Kenneth Begay who was part of the White Hogan. Four sided with curved edges and ironwood inlay.

They each measure 1 3/8" long and 1" at the widest.

A museum quality oval pendant signed Benevidez (Johnny) and Tim Yazzie Sterling. Possibly a piece by both men who are Santo Domingo/Navajo artists. The Tim Yazzie mark is not typical however if one searches the web, one can find similar pieces created by both men. Silver overlay designs highlight the intricately cut lapis,onyx and turquoise stones. A solid pendant, it measures 3-1/4 x 1-1/2" and weighs a hefty 49gr. The sterling collar has a hook clasp and is marked TS 91 Taxco 925.

A very charming, small collection of two pair of earrings and a belt buckle by Navajo Kenneth Begay created when he was working at the White Hogan Shop in Scottsdale, Arizona. A very fine, large vintage silver knifewing pin with multi stone inlay of spiny oyster, turquoise, jet and mother of pearl, circa 1940. Knifewing represents the Zuni god of war. This symbol was worn by warriors to protect them in battle, but also represents courage, honor, wisdom and strength. The pin measures 3 1/8" by 2 3/4" and weighs 35 grams. It is in fine original condition. The stones are free of chips or cracks. A beautiful example of vintage Zuni lapidary work.
