An elegant gilt sterling silver oval brooch by Kirk in the "Repousse" pattern. Kirk made a range of jewelry in this pattern but only a few were then gilt. These delicate-looking, lacy links are actually form quite a substantial chain necklace. The links have a clever twist, but still lie nicely when worn. A jump ring at the end bears largely illegible marks, but one appears to have a European shape. The chain tests strongly for silver, with a content of at least .800.
