A fine original Art Deco period glass beaded long flapper necklace c1920s. This impressive 40" necklace is 3/8" across the triple-strand segments, and it has a fringed 1-3/4" x 1-1/8" beaded drop. The beads are silvered clear beads, yellow spacers, with dark yellow and blue beads on the drop. The blue beads form the letter M, and there is one segment strand of blue beads and a couple of errant blue beads in the necklace itself...

Weighing in at a healthy 255 grams, this necklace of variegated agate makes an attractive and bold statement. The beads, which range from 15 mm to 20mm in size, are highly polished and show various shades of deep red-brown, mauve and gray, often within one bead. This strand of colorful glass beads from Japan, consists of 25 beads. They have never been used. They are oval-shaped with gorgeous work, best described by the pictures. Each bead measures 3/4" long and graduates to approximately 3/8" high. They are circa 1940's and very scarce.
