A signed American original oil landscape painting depicting a south western scene with a dark road in the mid left foreground that vanishes into the yellow bright background just short of two cliff like reddish rocky prominences that almost form two goal posts. The colorful palette juxtaposes lights and darks in fore and mid ground. Titled: Exit West and painted by a self taught American painter, who exited West to live in New England many, many years ago.....

Warren Davis, American, 1865-1928, "The Squirrel". A beautiful original etching by Warren Davis, this image measures 7 3/4 x 5 7/8 inches, pencil signed. Warren Davis studied at the Art Students League in New York and became known for his etchings of idealized female figures, many of which were used on the covers of Vanity Fair and Life magazines. Later in his career Davis exhibited in Europe and the United States including the Pennsylvania Academy and the Salmagundi Club...

In 1970 the famous collector of Japanese art Felix Juda commissioned Haku Maki to produce at least 3 different sets of cards for greeting and thanks. Here we show three. The 4th image may have been one such card or a small print. I have owned it for many years and am still studying it. The ones done for Juda varied in attractiveness. The green one is vintage Maki: good design, good color, and good composition. It is only 5”x 5” but packs a wallop...
