Circa 1965 red free form metal sculpture on a black wooden base by George Curtis (1923-2010). Curtis developed a unique way of creating freedom as opposed to formal structure sculptures. Using a 5 gallon pail filled with water and potatoes, he would melt scrap aluminum and pour it into the pail. The result was an unvisualized form that humans have never seen before, a representation of the shape of spaces and caverns between objects. Measures 15" high.

This work is a mixed media piece in colored pencil and washes measuring 13x9”. Chris Liberti is an American artist primarily known for his oil paintings of landscapes, cityscapes and still lifes. Chris was born in Buffalo, NY, and began illustrating at an early age. He initially attended a graphic design school, and from 1993-96, he studied fine arts in oil painting at Buffalo State College, under professors Jim Phalen, Constance Payne and Richard Gubernick...

This is a most interesting assemblage, of ceramic, paint, photographs and other materials, 16" by 24", unframed, signed at lower right and in two places on the stretcher and dated 2005 by the noted Belgium-born, California contemporary artist SIMONE GAD (1947-2021). Gad attended Los Angeles colleges in the mid 1960's and by the early 1970's was already becoming an active exhibitor in galleries and other art venues...

Francesco Guardi (1712-1793) is the most famous practitioner in the style, but Giacomo (1764-1835) accounts for his share of the production of such works, the so-called "Vedute" popular with tourists of the time...

A very modernist drawing in oil on heavy paper, perhaps with some other media, over which some shiny varnish was subsequently applied. The subject is two young women with bright yellow faces and open mouths, in the midst of an apparently angst-filled argument or discussion, signed in Russian "BUK" or "BUKH" at lower right corner. The work measures 15" by 20" (20" by 26 1/2" in metal framing---photos show glass which is cracked and will be removed prior to shipping)...

This is an extremely detailed ink and watercolor drawing on paper, unsigned, of a public building that might have become a federal building like a post office, civic center, etc. It measures roughly 24" by 39" in an octagonal shape, and a ( basically, protective only) inexpensive frame comes with it. A beautifully executed mixed media drawing of famous Spirit Island, one of the most photographed places in the Canadian Rockies, at Maligne Lake in Jasper National Park, Alberta, signed at lower right by talented artist Don Slote and dated there 4/1972. The work, primarily in pastel, with some pencil, measures 12" by 15" (19 1/2" by 22 1/2" framed). Condition of frame and art is excellent and fresh, belying its fifty years...

Found in Southern California, this is a mixed media (colored markers and pencils) drawing on paper, 23 1/4" by 18", unframed, the subject a stylized seated obese woman. The artist signed her name at lower right and dated the work nearby "04". The name appears to me as "Greta A. Dietrich" or similar, but I do not see a listing under the various possibilities I have investigated---more research might turn up the artist name...

This is a work so finely executed that it is difficult to believe that it is a drawing and not a print, but I absolutely guarantee it to be an original drawing. The subject is a priest or monk in an interior nook flooded with sunlight. He is holding a large pair of scissors and appears to be concentrating on a domestic task that is not quite clear to the viewer. At bottom in very poorly spelled German is the phrase "UEBERALL--LOCHER--IM--KIRCHEN--GUT--DA--TUHT--KAIN--FLICKEN--MAHR"...
