This is a painting on artist board, 22" by 14" inside its narrow modern framing, titled on the reverse in ball point pen "Avocado Tree", signed at lower right "Harry Lieberman" and dated there "62". HARRY LIEBERMAN (1876-1983) was a Polish-born, long-lived artist who didn't begin his artistic career until late in life. Lieberman had been preparing for the rabbinate but emigrated to the United States in 1906 when nearly thirty (some give his date of birth as 1880 rather than 1876)...

A striking watercolor and gouache painting of a black cat lounging amidst lily family garden flowers, 8 1/2" by 13 1/4" (18" by 22" as framed), signed at lower left by the noted New Mexico-associated artist AGNES GABRIELLE TAIT (1894-1981). Cats were a favorite subject of the artist, and collectors seek out those works specifically. Tait was born in New York City, and studied art there and in Europe (especially lithography)...

This very well carved contemporary snuff bottle is 2 ½” high, 1 5/8” wide and 1” thick. The lighter part was carved as the body of the bottle and darker part was carved into a praying mantis resting on a cucumber. The workmanship is precise and clear. It is well hollowed, polished and in great condition.

Original mixed media (appears to be gouache, and reflective silver and gold paints, on paper) drawing, the subject two figures relaxing at a summery beach, a sunfish small boat off the beach, all bordered by a decorative modernist border with innumerable artistic shapes and unexplained elements. “Stirring the Pot” is an Asian inspired original drawing in clay by David Bryce. In this incised panel, he molds and marks the clay, creating a simple and familiar action – stirring a pot. Ready to hang, it is in excellent condition and measures 21” x 13 inches. Artist signed. Dated 2007. Color is a greenish taupe with dark brown. In excellent condition, it measures 12"x 13".
