Very RARE Engraving of Charles V, Holy Roman Emperor. Bust length portrait facing left, wearing armor and the badge of the Order of the Golden Fleece. The portrait sits within an oval frame bearing the Latin inscription 'IMP. CAES. CAROLVS V. AVG.' Laboureur was well known for his distinctly Cubist style of expression.
A circa 18th century engraving of stone arch bridge over a river, more than likely in Italy, 10 3/8" by 15 7/8" inside the ornately drawn mat and 16 1/2" by 22 1/2" in a contemporary distressed style complementary silvery-colored frame. The work is not visibly signed. A google reverse image search did not turn up a matching image...
