Paul Cesar Helleu 1859-1927 French This is a fine hand colored drypoint etching by French artist Paul Cesar Helleu. This portrait is of the artist's daughter Ellen. Created and printed in 1897 this etching measures 13X12 inches. Hand signed in pencil lower left border. Printed in a sepia toned ink and some touches of hand coloring.

"Stephen Parrish". This etching was made by Parrish after his painting, "A Fishing Hamlet, Bay of Fundy--Evening, which was shown at the National Academy of Design in March 1882.

On creme coloured wove paper, size of plate "3 ½ / 9.4 cm x "3 ¼ / 8.2 cm. The partly silvered frame measuring "7 / 18 cm x "7 / 18 cm. Condition: fine.
