Otto Bacher, American, 1856-1909, "The Bridge, Schleissheim". This is a very fine original etching, image size 5 1/8 x 7 3/4 inches, 1879, from Bacher's Danube Set, pencil signed. A very richly inked impression beautiful plate tone on a fine wove type paper with ample margins.
Etching on very thin paper, "Charles Baudelaire, de Face", 1865, later, likely posthumous impression, by the famous French artist EDOUARD MANET (1832-1883). The work measures 3 3/4" by 3 1/4" inside the plate mark, and the sheet measures 8 1/4" by 6 1/4". This is Guerin #38 in the catalogue raisonne, and probably the 4th (final) state. The paper being very thin and flimsy, would lead me to believe this would NOT be a twentieth century restrike. There is a simple modern frame...

This is a fairly scarce etching by American artist Joseph Pennell. The title is: Chelsea, No. II, it was created and printed in 1886, in an edition of only 20. Hand signed in pencil by the artist. The image measures 6 1/2X9 1/2 inches. This imag appears in the Wuerth catalog as image number 114. Printed on a medium weight wove type sheet. Chelsea Bridge is a bridge over the River Thames in west London.
Mortimer Menpes, English, 1860-1938, "Interior of St Maclou, Rouen". This etching by Mortimer Menpes measures 12 3/8 x 6 3/8 inches, pencil signed, c. 1902, edition of 50, looking towards the Gothic Baldachin. Menpes attended the School of Art in London in 1878 and started exhibiting at the Royal Academy in 1880. He became a major figure in the etching revival, producing more than seven hundred different etchings and drypoints, which he usually printed himself.

This is an original drypoint etching by French artist Paul Cesar Helleu. It is identified as Elegante au Chapeau, created and printed C. 1900 in a small edition. The image measures 15 3/4X11 1/8 inches. Twice signed in pencil lower left border and lower left within the platemark. Printed on a medium weight wove type paper with the Helleu watermark. Richly inked burr still evident.
Original scarce to rare etching of the year 1910, "The Avenue, Valenciennes", signed at lower right margin in pencil by the important American etcher, illustrator, critic, author and teacher JOSEPH PENNELL (1857-1926). The print measures 10" by 13" inside the mat (12 1/2" by 15 1/2" in the framing). After the signature, the "imp." indicates that Pennell would have printed this himself...
