Arthur J. T. Briscoe, British, 1873-1943, "Drydock". This 1928 marine etching by the British printmaker Arthur Briscoe measures 12 1/8 x 8 7/8 inches, hand signed in ink and editioned as 7/75. Briscoe studied at the Slade Art School and the Academy Julian in Paris and then spent the rest of his time sailing, becoming one of the most prominent British marine artists of the 20th century. The scarce vintage print is in apparent excellent condition (not examined out of frame). Measurements are 17 3/4" by 11 1/4" inside the mat, 26" by 19" framed. Kasimir is known today largely for his prints of street and city scenes in both Europe and America, rendered in fine detail, as color etchings, a process in which he was a pioneer...

A framed and matted etching possibly of the River Seine. There are water stains along the bottom edge of the mat as well as very light foxing; the print also appears to have light foxing around the corners. Stamped A. Delauney del 8c sc in the lower left corner. The picture measures 5-1/4" x 3-1/2"; the frame, 8" x 9-7/8". Not examined out of the frame.
