This original lithograph is not behind glass and is loose in the current framing. The measurement of the sheet is approximately 12" by 9" (19" by 17" in the framing). There is a tear at top as shown, and a slight crease at right...

Measuring 22 1/4" by 17 1/4", the poster is technically described as an offset lithograph. The blue areas look like a traditional lithograph process, while the image in gray within the circle has the tiny dots of traditional printing. This is an original pencil signed lithograph by American artist Joseph Pennell. He traveled down to Panama in 1912 to record the building of the Canal. He created a series of images from that trip. This image is titled Cranes at Miraflores Lock, Panama, Printed in an edition of only 100. This image measures 22 1/4X16 3/4 inches on a Fabiano watermarked, laid type paper. Sheet size is 25 1/2X 20 1/2 inches.

A circa 1940's restrike print of the popular ice skating scene from "American Winter Scenes" series, measuring 17" by 23 3/4" inside the mat and 23 3/4" by 30 1/2" framed. The title was evidently cut off from central bottom portion at one point and was then affixed to reverse side. Coloring is in the print most likely and not hand coloring. Retains old brown framer's label of "The Brown Shop", a mid-century Pasadena, California art and frame shop...

A lithograph print of a typical northern New Mexican adobe house of the Santa Fe and Taos region, signed in the plate at lower center with what appears as "J Hill" and dated nearby 48. The black and white image measures 6 1/4" by 9 1/4" inside the mat, 15" by 17 1/2" in simple black wood strip frame. Not examined out of frame but appears very clean and fresh. I have not been able to locate a listed artist by this name that would correspond to this work.

This is a beautifully drawn work, showcasing the talents of this artist in lithography. His prints and drawings (see one in my shop) are quite affordable, while paintings have brought to the $80,000 area at auction in Europe and America...

Rare original lithograph by Franz Bernheimer (Germany, USA, Israel, 1911-1997). Signed in pencil l.r. and dated 1958. Also numbered No35 in pencil l.l. Bernheimer was born in Germany. He studied art in Munich and Zurich before WWII. He escaped Nazi Germany and emigrated to the USA via Cuba. He taught at Brooklyn College, at Sweet Bryar College, and eventually moved to Israel where he taught at Haifa University.
