Poem 69-13 is an old embossed print. Created in 1969, it is in excellent condition. It measures 11 1/8in W x 15in H and is number 61 of an edition of 82.

Signed Kogyo with artists’s seal on L.L., fan-shaped publisher’s seal, very good impression and color, small soil mark on upper left corner, wrinkle from the printing across upper right corner, corner creased, light soiling, large red collector’s seal on verso.

A PAIR of very desirable prints in unusually fine condition, (not examined out of frame, but appearance as presented is superb), pencil signed at lower right near the red artist seal, by the important French-Japanese printmaker artist PAUL JACOULET (1902-1960). Measurements inside the mat are 15" by 11 1/4" (23" by 16 1/4" in black strip frames). Note the prevalent silver mica in the field background, one of the revolutionary techniques for which Jacoulet is revered among print collectors...

Woodblock print by Earl M. Washington, page measures 11" x 8 3/8", woodblock image is 6 1/4" x 5", mat is 13 1/2" x 11". Black ink on cream color paper, in white mats with glassine cover over image. Signed E.M. Washington, titled "Race Mixing", number 2 of 30, with date of 1932, though was printed in the 1990's. Image depicts a violent scene, a black man attacking a nude woman, with knife in his hand. Maybe an image of a racist propaganda poster or leaflet, or an original by Washington...

Lorenzi 1880-1969 was know for his Japanese inspired work and woodblocks

Japanese limited edition woodblock print by Morihiro Sato (b. 1943) depicting white bellflowers. A student of Joichi Hoshi who was influenced by Hoshi's use of metallic pigments, the artist set the flowers and partial moon (or sun) against a metallic background. Depending upon the lighting conditions (see image taken with flash) the background appears either golden or silver. The print is pencil-titled in kanji "Autumn (Bellflowers)" and numbered 3/55 at the lower left...

This is one of the very scarce, desirable prints "Le Nid--Coree" ("The Nest--Korea") by the important French-Japanese printmaker artist PAUL JACOULET (1902-1960). In December 1941, as war exploded upon the world, the image was created by the artist as a gift for his mother, who never got to actually see it. The edition in this size/coloration is said to have been fewer than 200 examples...

Albert Huie 1920-2010 Jamaican This is a fine woodcut print by Jamaican artist Albert Huie. This image is hand signed in pencil and titled: Seaside. The image measures 9X6 1/2 inches. Albert Huie (1920-2010) was a seminal figure in the formation and development of a national Jamaican artistic identity, overcoming the hurdles of a colonial-based system of race and class distinctions to become the first native-born Jamaican artist to attain international renown and respect...

This is a work by highly regarded American artist THOMAS WILLOUGHBY NASON (1889-1971), titled in pencil "Rockport" at lower left and signed at lower right "TWNason (M.W.N.)". This would appear to be a posthumous signature by a relative after the artist's death. This example measures 4 1/4" by 6 1/4" inside the mat and 11 1/4" by 13 1/4" framed. The print appears to be in generally good condition with some scattered foxing, especially in the margin area...

Japanese sosaku hanga “kappa-ban” (stencil print) by Yoshitoshi Mori (1898-1992) depicting Zenzoji Temple in Asakusa, Tokyo. The print is pencil-signed “Yoshitoshi Mori” at the lower right. The artist’s red seal is above the signature. The paper measures 16 3/8”V x 12 1/4”H and dates circa 1980s. This print has never been framed and is in very good overall condition.

A woodcut print featuring an ecclesiastical scene of five monks in a breezeway or arcaded hall, with the artist's signature and date 1922 within the circular image. Additionally the piece is pencil signed by the artist at right just below the image and titled "The Cloister" at top right in pencil. The artist is New Jersey-born HENRY J. GLINTENKAMP (1887-1946)...

Daniel Tretiak tells us that in 1967 Haku Maki produced an alphabet series, Poem A-Z. He did all the letters of the English alphabet. This is Poem W, a strong rendering of the hiragana for You. Tretiak says: The image has a bold white sun in the top half with two dashes of rain-like strokes. It is in wonderful condition...
