Japanese limited edition woodblock print by Morihiro Sato (b. 1943) depicting white bellflowers. A student of Joichi Hoshi who was influenced by Hoshi's use of metallic pigments, the artist set the flowers and partial moon (or sun) against a metallic background. Depending upon the lighting conditions (see image taken with flash) the background appears either golden or silver. The print is pencil-titled in kanji "Autumn (Bellflowers)" and numbered 3/55 at the lower left...
Print by Birger Sandzen (Swedish American Artist 1871-1954), titled "The Sentinels", a well known image by this revered artist, done with what is described as Nailhead print making, similar to his woodblock and linoleum prints, though having much more precise definition and detail.
Measures: Sheet size (actual size of sheet minus edge losses) 10 7/8" x 8 5/8", image is 4 3/4" x 7".

Poem 71-71 is a Maki depiction of 子 Child and is one of those large red kanji on a black background that Daniel Tretiak valled a Big Red. This one measures 12in W by 17.5in H and is no.13 of an edition of 153. It is in excellent condition.

Poem 69-13 is an old embossed print. Created in 1969, it is in excellent condition. It measures 11 1/8in W x 15in H and is number 61 of an edition of 82.

This is a block print on an unusual paper, the subject a mounted Native American banging his drum while on a white horse, signed in the block by the important "dean of Arizona artists", LON MEGARGEE (1883-1960). The striking image might be after a painting by the artist, who, the story goes, was passed one day in the desert by a warrior in a dreamy trance-like reverie state, working his drum in this manner, barely noticing the white man watching him pass...
