A circa 1930 colorful, beautiful, accomplished woodblock print of a Christmas cactus, by Austrian-born artist HUGO NOSKE (1886-1960). Noske was born in Vienna and was a very talented artist, perhaps best known today for the technically accomplished, wonderful woodblock prints of floral subjects, often specifically cacti or Christmas cacti, on tissue-like Japan paper. Oversized Japanese limited edition sosaku hanga woodblock print by Tadashi Nakayama (b. 1927) titled “Afternoon in Blue.” The print was executed in bold colors with gold and silver highlights set against a brilliant blue background. A rare, finely crafted woodblock print in the Arts and Crafts style of the early 20th century, titled at lower left "Marigold", by German artist ILSE KOCH-AMBERG (1869-1934), measuring 6 1/2" by 6 1/2" in side the mat and 12 1/2" by 12" framed. The work features her monogram in the image, and is signed in pencil by the artist at lower right; in addition, the paper features a blind stamp including the word "Berlin" at lower left margin...

Japanese sosaku hanga “kappa-ban” (stencil print) by Yoshitoshi Mori (1898-1992) depicting Zenzoji Temple in Asakusa, Tokyo. The print is pencil-signed “Yoshitoshi Mori” at the lower right. The artist’s red seal is above the signature. The paper measures 16 3/8”V x 12 1/4”H and dates circa 1980s. This print has never been framed and is in very good overall condition.
Oversized limited-edition Japanese woodblock print by Joshua Rome (b. 1953) titled “Fuyu no Hi (Winter's Day)” dated 2/15/1981. The bottom margin is titled, dated, numbered 30/100 and signed in pencil. The artist's red seal is beside the signature. Paper: 9" x 24 5/8" (image: 6 11/16” x 21 5/8"). Very good overall condition. The print is very lightly sunstruck and there are tiny brown spots about the size of the tip of a pin scattered throughout the paper.

Torii Kiyonaga, Japanese, 1752-1815, "Two Women with Young Servant". This woodblock print by Torii Kiyonaga measures 9 1/2 x 7 inches. It is signed, sealed and titled within the image. Kiyonaga was one of the great masters of the full-color print depicting courtesans, beautiful women and Kabuki actors. Head of the Torii school, he excelled with "bijin-ga" (beautiful women) prints and these were considered to be his best works.
Work 73-5 is a funny, lively snowman--or snow child. It is number 28 of an edition of 103 and measures 9.5in W x 17.5in H.
