This dramatic Big Red—a name Daniel Tretiak attached to Haku Maki’s large red prints, usually of single Chinese characters (kanji) on black backgrounds—is a character meaning ordinary or commonplace. But Maki has done it in a stand-out way. It is 17.5in W x 24.5inH. Berthe Morisot 1841-1895 French This is an original etching by French artist Berthe Morisot. The title is: Femme Nu de Dos, this etching was created in 1889. This is a later printing after the plate had the cancellation holes at the upper and lower ends of the plate. These holes were later filled in the 20th century and the etching was re-editioned, This state is less common. The image measures 5 7/16X415/16 inches. Unsigned as issued...
