A rare and possibly maquette for the Lincoln Centennial Cent , Bronze Sculpture of Abraham Lincoln by Artist Victor D. Brenner measuring 14 in. Diameter. Victor David Benner (1871 – 1924) was a Litvak-American sculptor and engraver. He is well-known for designing the Lincoln Cent.

Cast bronze portrait bas relief plaque of New York stationer, William Makepeace Hastings (1831-1912). Dated 1910. Size: 15 in. x 10 in. Signed with a monogram (artist not identified by us).

Antoniucci Volti, French, 1915-1989. This outstanding bronze is a nude woman sitting on the ground and bent over. It is bronze dark brown/black patina with touches of green. Inscribed "Volti" and Epreuve d' Artiste 2/2" and "Susse Fond Paris." Width 9" Hight 5 1/2." It is in perfect condition and has excellent provenance from Galerie Cardan, Paris, 1976. He has an extensive listing in Benezit. He worked in France and his work is in the Musee D'Art Moderne in Paris...

Impressive French cast bronze image of Napoleon wearing a hat, long coat and boots, carrying a sword, with "A. C. Harron A2372" to the base and a stamp reading "Bronze Garanti Au Titre L.V. Deposee." Approx. 20 by 7 inches, 50.7 by 17.9 cm, no condition issues noted.

An interesting and inventive sculpture of a performing elephant balancing upon a ball whilst supporting an acrobat with his trunk. The sculpture is solid bronze and cast in the lost wax technique, cire perdue. This method is able to faithfully reproduce all of the quirky textures that the artist has chosen. The sculpture is mounted on a white marble base and is, as far as I can see, unsigned.

A very good bronze figure of a hound by Piere-Jules Mene (1810-1877). The hound stands alert look over his shoulder at the viewer. The rectangular base is well-textured with rocks and branches, typical of Mene's style. The shape of the base suggests that the casting is from Mene's own foundry and dates to the 1840s. In the early 1970's and in addition to his ceramic pieces, Voulkos was well known for his large bronze sculptures like "Hall of Justice" in San Francisco, "Hiro II" outside of the San Francisco War Memorial Opera House in Civic Center, "Mr Ishi" at the Oakland Museum of California, and "Sirius" in Shannon Park, Dublin, California.
