Maya's purses are most unique, and this one is especially so. The elegantly hand carved peacock has "feathers" that wrap completely around the purse. Reminiscent of some Scandinavian pieces from the 1960s, this more modern version of the cattail pin features two freshwater pearls. The stems are gold-filled wires flattened at the top to secure the pearls.
