Large cotton furoshiki with poem with shibori which is the first half of the famous poem from Manyoshu (The Anthology of Myriad Leaves). A finely detailed Hutschenreuther porcelain monkey figurine designed by Hans Achtziger. Name of artist is embossed on the bottom. In pristine condition, this figurine measures 5 inches tall and dates 1985.

A handmade studio piece with a rectangular top mounted with a lavender stone that tests as tanzanite or chalcedony. The work has a roughness to it, but the ring is sturdy and the stone is very secure. The ring is unmarked, but tests definitively as sterling silver. The top of the ring measures 1 1/8 inches long by 5/8 inch wide. It is a size 5 1/2.

Circa post-1980, this Matl necklace was produced by Ricardo Salas. Ricardo Salas worked with his aunt, Matilde Poulat. After her death in 1960 he continued producing her designs, as well as his own.

Measuring a closed, wearable length of 19 1/2", this looks spectacular on the neck. There are ten panels with amethysts and turquoise cabochons, each measuring 1" tall. The side panels each have turquoise cabs.

This pin is a late 20th century rendition of a traditional Russian balalaika composed of sterling silver strings and fittings on a triangular piece of amber. This silver runway Jean Paul Gaultier pendant necklace is made up of enameled scarabs of varying sizes and faceted purple and green crystal beads. We just found out that this buckle was designed by Denez for the Autumn/Winter 1970 Yves Saint Laurent season. We found examples from the same series in the book, "Yves Saint Laurent Accessories," by Patrick Mauries. The buckle measures 4 x 5" (10.5 x 12.5 cm). It is made to hold a 2" (5.5 cm) wide belt and has it s original attachment piece. Art Nouveau in style with bronze, copper and gilt tones, it reminds me of some of the metro stations in Paris. These are my everyday "go to" earrings. I have them in every color I've found and only sell doubles. This pair is the deepest purple imaginable--so dark it looks black unless held to the light. The oval cabochons at either end are an opalescent purple. The clip back earrings measure 1 1/4" (3.5 cm) across by 1 3/8" (3.8 cm) down. They are 5/8" (2 cm) deep.
