Fabulous long clip earrings with four different cuts and colors of pale honey genuine amber. Circa 1990 or possibly earlier. Dark silvertone metal. The tops are softly faceted translucent stones surmounting wired beads which include opaque briolettes, translucent oblongs, and more transparent flat ovals. A vintage Japanese style Choba Tansu (merchant chest) made of Keyaki (Zelkova) and Kirinoki (Paulownia) woods. Two large full width drawer with two small drawers and sliding doors behind which is a spacious storage area. Horizontal side ribs add visual design and strength to the chest.
Contemporary function would include using it as a sideboard, a cocktail cabinet or an elegant side table.

A contemporary Chinese buffet chest in a red lacquer. Constructed using up cycled reclaimed wood of Pine and Elm providing a green footprint for the environment. Fabulous very big statement size necklace with genuine lapis lazuli beads slightly graduated, hand knotted with blue thread, and with embedded gold hook clasp. Vintage, probably a handmade studio piece. The lapis is gemologist verified. The clasp tests positive for 14KT gold with jeweler's acid. The beads are a gorgeous subtle dark variegated gray blue with veils of silver and gold pyrite adding sparkle and shimmer. Very heavy at 486 grams/17 ounces...

Nantucket woven rattan basket or purse having 2 scrimshawed ivorite plaques, one features a sailing ship with the inside plaque featuring Marblehead Harbor. This basket has a swing handle, leather hinges and a wood base. Made in Rhode Island, it is signed Farnum on the bottom and a penny glued inside dates the basket 1996. Measures 11" long x 8" high with the handle down.

From our World Handicrafts Collection (Ex-Asia), a charming hand-carved mirror frame from Cuzco Peru, sister city of the famed Macchu Piccu ruins. The wood used here is an indigenous Andean softwood that has been very skillfully carved in Spanish Baroque style, not uncommon since Peru was colonized by the Spanish in the 1500's and Spanish architectural influence still pervades their culture and crafts.
