Offered is an early vintage "New Mexico" studio glass perfume bottle. Characteristically the bottle has a round swirling blue chamber encased in clear glass and a simple, clear glass teardrop stopper. The bottle is 4" tall, including the stopper, by 2 1/2 "wide, in excellent condition with no chips, scuffs, or repairs noted, and signed and dated 1984 on the bottom, as shown. Simpson's "New Mexico" bottles can't hold perfume. The chamber is solid except for the hole for the stopper...

It is made in Toriyama in Tochigi prefecture, north of Kanto Plane. Washi has been made in the region from about 700 years ago. It is made by Fukuda Washi Producer. In excellent condition. Nantucket woven rattan basket or purse having 2 scrimshawed ivorite plaques, one features a sailing ship with the inside plaque featuring Marblehead Harbor. This basket has a swing handle, leather hinges and a wood base. Made in Rhode Island, it is signed Farnum on the bottom and a penny glued inside dates the basket 1996. Measures 11" long x 8" high with the handle down.
