A vintage Japanese 2 section special Kamo Tansu kimono chest made entirely of Kirinoki (Paulownia) and Kuwanoki (Mulberry) wood. The Kiri wood comes from the Aizu region of Japan which is well known for its high quality of Kiri lumber while the handle and trim accents were made of hand carved Kuwa. The wood is very thick and dense while the parts fit so perfectly that the interior of the tansu is nearly air tight keeping the valuable silk kimonos dry...

These unique earrings are made of scrimshaw and are hand engraved with Clipper Ships. They are on fossilized ivory and are made by Fairhaven Designs. They have a diameter of 3/8" and are 1/8" thick. They are in superb condition.

From our World Handicrafts Collection (Ex-Asia), an interesting hand-made wool prayer rug, probably Persian but it could possibly come from the Caucasus region as well. The rug features a main central medallion in rust colored ground, two minaret motifs towards the top, and geometrical motifs on the borders. The workmanship seems to be a combination of natural mineral pigments and synthetic dyes.

Super chic and sophisticated 1980s modernist bracelet with large balls of soft fuzzy yard strung on elastic cord, with a millefiori bead decoration. Probably Italian. The colors are warmer than the photos may show. The largest balls are 1 1/2 inches in diameter. The elasticized length will fit most wrists. Excellent condition. Display form is life size. A perfume pendant in bright lipstick red on a red silk cord with a matching tassel in the iconic double V shape by Valentino Garavani. Made in Italy in the 1980s.

Has Swarovski crystals on the front. The two Vs slide apart and reveal an empty small vial of V perfume.

Pendant measures 3 1/4" across and 8 3/4" long with the tassel. Suspended from a 32" red cord that slips over the head.

This very substantial money clip is also quite secure. It is decorated with molded ridged lines in an openwork art deco-revival design. The middle ridged design is gilded. The undecorated back bears the Polish marks for sterling silver, post-1985, as well as other marks as yet unidentified. The mark indicates regional assay office of Poznan. The clip measures 2 1/8 inches long by 3/4 inch wide. Weight: 18 grams
