The striking pearl and silver lizard pattern of this Maya purse suggests that it is made of lizard skin. Instead it is made of tree resin obtained especially by Maya for the creation of her beautiful purses. Maya adds to the lovely purse crystal nuggets and glass beads. A while ago, I was lucky enough to buy a group of early Jean Paul Gaultier jewelry. The US rep for Gaultier had it stashed away in a box and was happy to find someone who would appreciate it. These earrings were part of the group. They are 2 5/8" (7 cm) long. The top circle is 1" (2.9 cm) in diameter. The larger circle is a hair less than1 3/8" (3.9 cm) wide. These earrings are "dead stock" and have never been worn.

Outrageous is the only word to describe these exotic, wonderful shoulder-duster earrings by Maya. Maya has used jet, carnelian, pearls, faceted glass beads and rhinestones in this creation. 6" long, 2" wide.
