A unique and heavy sterling turquoise squash blossom necklace and earring set by Navajo artisan Hemerson Brown. The silver has been "antiqued" . The necklace measures 23" while the naja measures 2-1/2" x 2-1/2". The earrings (for pierced ears) are 2-1/4" x 1-1/2. Total weight 5.4ozs.

Maya created these clip earrings to match the preceding necklace. Their composition includes the crystals, beads, rhinestones and piwa pearls found also in the necklace. They are 1 3/8" in diameter. The dangles are 1 1/4".

A large bangle composed of 63 thin, white metal bangles, each decorated with oxidized and impressed bisecting lines. The thin bangles are entwined so as to lie comfortably on the arm, with a Slinky-like feel despite its heft of about 150 grams. The bracelet has a bit of flexibility for getting it over the hand, but for the most part its interior circumference of about 7 ½ inches is pretty firm. The composite thickness of the bracelet is about 2 inches around. It is unmarked.

A pair of William Spratling sterling silver pierced earrings with large dangling fans or sails. These earrings were made in the 1980s.

This bangle, no. 314, is striking. Designed by Annette Kraen for Georg Jensen, it is open at one part of the curved silver band and has five disks worked into the design. Such a dramatic bangle is rarely seen. I've not seen any since I bought it in 1986. Seven years earlier, in 1979, the bangle was first launched. It is no longer in production.

Heavy and gorgeous, this Matl necklace was produced by Ricardo Salas. Ricardo Salas worked with his aunt, Matilde Poulat. After her death in 1960 he continued producing her designs, as well as his own.

Each of the twenty-two panels have a pyramidal amethyst framed with twelve turquoise cabochons. It's nice and long, measuring 18 1/2" without the tongue portion of the clasp. Width is 13/16". Lays perfectly on the neck.

Weight is 91.8 grams.

Composed of linked hand-forged curved pieces with an A-shaped pendant decorated with applied sterling beads, this 1980s necklace has a strong presence. India vintage Polki - Kundan set Emerald bead and Gold necklace tests 18-22k Indian gold is usually 20-22 and is never marked. Each emerald is visually .25ct and there are 5 stones on each bead and there are 40 beads. Clasp to end is 18.75" weight is 59g . Personal piece but no longer wear bought in 2001.

Dramatic in size and design, this silver pendant features elaborate wire wrapping, with 5 gemstones entwined in the design. It measures just under 4" high, 2 3/8" wide, and is heavy. Tests for sterling, but we did not test the gold colored wire, so it may be gold filled, though the thin wire is more likely gold. This pendant, composed of a jockey cap sitting over a riding crop, is marked for .800 silver. It also bears a partial assay mark for Italy, but the maker’s number and area of assay are unclear. The dating would be post-1968. If it were to be worn as a pendant, it would need a bail so that the cap would lie flat and not turn on the chain.
