A handmade studio piece, it sits comfortably around the neck and lies flat without gaps. There is no maker’s mark, just the 925 mark for sterling. The neck ring measures about 4 ¾ inches across, with a 3-inch opening. Internal circumference is about 15 inches. The widest area, at the front, measures a little under ½ inch. Weight: 28 grams

Here is a collar-style necklace with a great modernist look by Ed Levin, who died in 2008. It is set with a cabochon amethyst, and made of a gilded metal. The result is a coppery finish; inside the collar is Levin’s name in script letters and ‘Bronze.’ The well-designed collar is quite comfortable and lies nicely at the base of the neck. It measures 3/8 inch at the front, its widest area, and about 14 inches inside circumference.

All metal is sterling silver. If you like carnelian and like dogs, this could be yours to collect and celebrate. 45mm round carnelian with a dog imprint on the pendant that ends in a tested sterling silver spiral is a total of 2 5/8" which suspends from a 20" chain that is marked 925 in 3 places. 1.8 oz or 52 grams...
