This is a great example of how the company made parts interchangeable so they could create new items by joining together a seemingly endless selection of rabbits, ducks, roosters, chicks, etc. Circa 1950. Excellent condition, there is a crack on the underside by the axle that appears to have happened at the factory, since it is completely secure and shows no signs of regluing. 8" long, 7-1/4" tall.

A 1930's Santa Clause figurine with a composition face and boots, a cotton batting beard, a felt jacket, and a cotton toy bag and pants. He stands on a mica-covered paperboard base. Unmarked, but definitely pre-war Japanese. Some of the Japanese Santas have rather fearsome faces, but this one is quite jolly. At 7" tall, he's also a bit larger than most.

A set of three vintage bisque candy containers in the form of a basket and a black cat with a Halloween orange neck ribbon. These would have been filled with small candies and given as party favors. The bottoms are stamped "Japan."

A rare vintage bisque jack o'lanern placecard holder and candy container. A thin slit just above the eyes holds a placecard. This is the only bisque card holder/candy container we've seen.

Full sheet of unusually large vintage German diecut Santas carrying toys. Two of the Santas wear the harder to find blue robe. The colors are gorgeous and this sheet would look terrific framed. Each Santa Claus measures 9-1/4" tall--an unusually large size.

The assortment of toys is wonderful--nutcrackers, racecars, dice, dolls, airplanes, books and toy horses.

Colorful hard plastic lollipop holder in the form of a clown on wheels. This piece, intended for either Christmas or Easter, is very difficult to find. Made by Rosbro.

Origin: America, circa 1950. Condition: excellent, no cracks, a little paint wear on the nose, a small scratch on the side of one leg, and discoloration to the glue joining the halves. Size: 6-1/2” tall.

Excellent vintage celluloid Christmas light in the form of Santa Claus carrying a pack of toys. Celluloid lights are very difficult to find because they were so brittle and flamable. They were made ca. 1915-25.

This one is in remarkable condition, in virtually mint condition. There are no splits, dents, burns or melts! The 3.5 volt bulb tests as non-working with a continuity tester (celluloid lights should never be tested with a 9-v battery)...

A vintage bisque Halloween candy container in the form of a black cat rubbing up against a jack o'lantern. The porcelain is heavier than many bisque items, suggesting it is of American origin.

Vintage wind-up Santa Claus toy. When activated, Santa rings his handbell and waves his other hand. The face is rubber and the clothing is felt with "fur" trim. Marked "Made In Japan". Circa 1930s. Excellent working condition. 7" tall.

As seen in Neiman Marcus, Horchow, Saks holiday catalogs these ornaments script signed: "Lalique R France" as follows: Available A)Green (cool shade) berry holly motif marked NOEL 1990 @ lower edge;
B) Teal same motif is dated 1989;

Each is 2 5/8" across and 1/4" thick. Wear them as pendants...

Outstanding life-colored German Dresden candy container in the form of a football. This is a terrifically detailed piece with the texture of pigskin, laces, seams, etc. Some of the raised seams have some losses, but otherwise, this piece is in nice condition. One side also has initials painted on it--probably those of the lucky child who first found this hanging on the Christmas tree. Approximately 3" long. Circa 1930s.

Wonderful vintage children's Christmas storybook, "Jolly Santa Claus". The cover is printed in full color with a depiction of Santa arriving wiht a decorated tree and a load of toys. The interior has another full-color plate depicting Santa driving his team of reindeer toward his castle at the North Pole. Nearly every page has a black-and-white illustration. The stories are not restricted to Christmas, and include jingles, poems, historical stories, tales, etc. The book was published by M.A...

Old Little Red Riding Hood candy container. The pressed paper front shows Red Riding Hood walking with a seemingly docile wolf on her way to Grandmother's house. The candy box affixed to the back has a slide opening much like a match box. the back is marked "Made In Germany." 3" x 1" x3-1/4" tall. Circa 1930s.

Outstanding composition goose Easter candy container. The neck removes to reveal the opening for the candy. This container is of the highest quality--it has painted metal feet, and a wooden dowel to hold the head in place. Unmarked, but definitely German. Circa 1930. Fantastic hard plastic candy container in the shape of a hen sitting on a nest. Candies are inserted in the hole in the breast. When the tail is moved up and down, the candies are dispensed out of the bottom of the nest. Perfect for egg-shaped jelly beans! Marked "1964 Ideal Toy Corp." Excellent condition.
