Moroccan stromatolite fossil well preserved in a nice red sandstone believed to date from about 600 million years ago.These microbial fossils are one of Earth's earliest records of life. The earliest known stromatolite fossils are between 3.5 - 2.75 billion years old in the Precambrian period. The blue-green algae in these early colonies were important in creating Earth's current oxygen atmosphere. Size 3" by 3.5" and weighs .04 pounds this piece has very fine details a great desk piece.

This is a diminutive Victorian crystal decanter of oval shape with rich foliate scrolled etching above one row of cut hollows and an applied foot. It is pint size, and has an unusual diamond cut neck with a flared rim topped by a molded ribbed medallion stopper, unmarked but possibly Baccarat. Condition: decanter in very good condition; slight wear to base; stopper has a 3/8" chip. Measurements: 10 _" high x 4 _" diam.
