This porcelain figurine of a kitten was produced in Bavaria by Rosenthal between 1921 and 1922. It is signed by the artist, Theodore Karner. The kitten measures 6 ½ inches long, 3 1/2 inches wide and 2 1/2 inches high. The figure is modeled with great attention to detail. Karner is known for giving his creations wonderful personality. This porcelain charger was produced in Germany by Meissen before 1970. It has a diameter of 10 inches and is 1 3/4 inches deep. The porcelain is the highest quality, with a shiny, even glaze. It is decorated with Chinese style ornaments. There are fighting roosters in the center, dragons and Chinese ornaments, all hand painted and gilded. There is heavy gold trim on the rim. Condition: Excellent. This is a first quality charger.

A colorful orange and white bakelite dice holds a set of six chrome cocktail picks, each with a dice finial in this Art Deco set. The cocktail pick holder (“porte-piques”) was once a fixture of every French bar or café. Today, they can be used to spear cocktail olive or cherries, or to serve small hors d’oeuvres.

Lovely amethyst colored glass candy dish with a faceted clear glass stem. It measures 6.75" in diameter and 6.25" tall. It is in excellent condition with no chips or scratches. The overall weight is approximately 1 pound. It probably dates to the 1920s.

Healthy Japanese babies adorn this bright red juban. Made of light weight silk with equally light weight white silk lining, this woman's juban measures 48" across the shoulders (including sleeves) and 50" long. In very good condition, it dates early Showa, 1930, though the collar appears to be newer. This is a very cheerful under garment and would be a fun piece to wear as an outer garment.

This porcelain group was produced in Denmark by Bing & Grondahl between 1948 and 1951. The model number is 1581. It measures 4 1/2 inches high and is 4 inches wide. The four monkeys are modeled with charming character. They are huddled together for warmth and support. The group is hand painted in earthy tones. Condition: Excellent, first quality.

A pair of Chinese porcelain cylindrical vases in mirror image, painted in famille rose (fencai style) with maidens on a garden terrace with plum rose trees overhanging. The insides glazed white with a gilt border. The base rims unglazed. The bases glazed white with stamped iron red marks.. Drilled for electricity.

A vintage mid century modernist ashtray by William Spratling with three ball feet, rows of five applied disks on three sides, and three horizontal cradles.

Measures 2 1/4" high and 3 1/8" across. Marked with the conjoined 'WS', Taxco Mexico and 925. These were the marks used between 1933-40. In good condition, has some tarnish and very minor dings to the body and the feet. One of the disks on one row is slightly askew which adds to the hand made feel.

This is a set of 10 crystal glasses that were made in Czechoslovakia in the 1920s. They are unmarked but the style and workmanship is similar to pieces from that area. They are 3 inches high and the mouth of the glass is 2 1/2 inches wide. They ring when tapped. We think they are cocktail glasses from the shape and size. Each glass is hand decorated with enamel paint with golfers in their traditional dress. The detail is fine. The glasses are trimmed with gold on the rim and foot...

Lovely pair of porcelain compotes in the "Dresden Garland" pattern by Schumann. The pierced rims are heavily decorated with colorful flowers and gilding. Each compote is centered with a floral bouquet surrounded by entwined gilt and floral garlands. The decorative motifs are echoed on the pedestals. The bottoms are marked by Schumann.
